So the staffers were drinking at get togethers including Kirby's house? Can't me much of a leap to assume underage drinking among the recruits as well. Of course UGA rivals only FSU in the ability to run a coverup.

    There already is one.

Mutts aren't going to slide on this one. Atlanta is a large and very diverse city. Georgia Tech is there. Lots of Atlantans hate the leghumpers.

AJC won't be able to pass up something this juicy. They are going to be all over it, and Kirby's laws, and the Georgia State Legislature, won't be able to do anything about it.

You are aware that UGa already got one AJC reporter fired for reporting on this situation, right?

AJC fires reporter, issues correction on story about UGA football and sexual abuse

Who's gonna put their neck out on the chopping block at the AJC next?

Another slave to inductive reasoning. The facts are completely different in the two cases. The case where the reporter was fired was one of very sloppy reporting.

The AJC is already on the drunk driving nonsense. Hard to hide these facts. Not to mention the small matter of lawyers, and an existing lawsuit, with depositions and testimony sure to follow, where more facts will come out.

The only way UGA shuts this down is to write big checks, and quick. If they do, perhaps a chance. Otherwise, the poop is going to fly.

Maybe UGA needs to start getting their staffers to drive the AJC reporters around and taking them to the clubs, just to take the heat off

and Pell got hammered for buying burgers and giving T shirts. He also paid Lomas Brown a signing bonus of $100, as I recall. And no, I did not leave off any zeros. Oh, the horrors!

No one ever has to tell me to wear a sear belt! I sure learned at a young age to always do so. And I was wearing mine! Never will forget what happened! At age 24 driving very late at night, in the greatest car I’ve ever had, my brand new 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible ! I was on US 27. heading up Brandon from my apartment in Miami Springs to show my Mom and my new car! Well, I fell asleep at the wheel and my GTO went down a deep embankment on the side of the road. I was stunned but after a couple of minutes’ I was thinking maybe I better look outside my car and see if I have any damage. Then I looked up and saw the night sky! My convertible top had been completely torn away! So, I unbuckled my seat belt, which was all a seat belt was in those days! And all of the sudden I felt something heavy on my head. Slowly I put my hand on top of my head to see if I had cut something cut up there. No, but I had a BIG wad of mud dirt on top of my head! I realized my head had hit the ground when my GTO turned over going down the embankment! So I remember thinking, sure was great I had my seat belt on! And it was an option back then. Little more interesting things about me and my new 1967 GTO convertible, but I don’t want to bore anyone anymore on here.

Pell was as crooked as a mountain road. His disregard for the rules almost got us the death penalty. I had several friends that signed with and played for Pell. We had to listen to the games on the roof of the frat house. No TV or bowl games for two years plus scolly cuts for four years.

For doing what winning teams were doing. That’s the one good aspect of Nil, everyone can buy players instead of just the chosen few in the club. We were singled out just as fsu was for calling out the corruption. Fsu didn’t deserve to be in the playoff but they got bitchslapped for speaking out.

Was the sled my soon to be brother in law was driving. 67 GTO, Candy Apple Red, Chrome Trimmings. He tricked it out. I still dream about that ride. I can honestly say I got to ride in one fresh out of the dealership. 60s hot rod dream car.

We weren't the only school to get smacked. Our disregard for the rules during Pell's tenured was as bad as SMU. Several frat brothers were on the team and a starting LB was one of my best friends. We were handing out cash, greasing palms, buying cars, and paying players to watch the artificial turf grow.

Oh...and the NCAA just stopped the investigation after proving enough to give us the death penalty. They could have proven 150 VERY serious violations. They simply stopped after , think the number was 59.

The NCAA saw what SMU's death penalty did to the SWC and chose instead to hand us the next worst thing.

Yup. What a joke to act like Florida was doing things any different than the other big boys. Cesspool programs who would later be found guilty of multiple violations themselves like Kentucky, Tennessee, Lsu, Mississippi and Georgia( who has skated somehow) voted to strip florida of our title in an unprecedented decision.

    Give me a break.
