Both Trump and Biden are old. They both should go play bingo, shuffleboard or yell at kids to get off the lawn so we can have other options.
Some theorize the Democrats have a plan to replace Biden, but I don't see it happening. As long as he is alive and able to keep one eye barely open, he controls the party. It will be amazing if he wins again. It's pretty obvious he will do almost zero campaigning.
He was running against the personality cult and an incumbent last time. Trump will always have his base but I don't see how Trump has attracted enough new voters since then especially when you factor in Jan 6th and his criminal trials. That may make his base love him more but that's not a plus for moderates or independents. What does Trump bring to the table to entice new voters? They're both old, the economy is doing well despite FoxNews best efforts to convince people otherwise. Maybe the border? But again the people who have the border as their main issue already voted for Trump last time. That doesn't mean Biden is a slam dunk. He could have health issues. Purple states with Rrpublican leadership are also going to pull every trick they can to suppress the vote so that could have an impact. Quite frankly though, most people are just sick of Trump and want to move on back to normalcy. One more election loss and that should be the end of him as a presidential candidate.
Coco, what exactly did Trump do in his first four years in the White House that destroyed democracy? You like the state of the country under Biden direction? Whether you like Trump or not what the Dems did to him once he became President and the fact they are doing everything in their power to keep him off the ballot is really unthinkable and will destroy democracy as we know it maybe forever.
Not a spoiler. I didn't say Trump was in his early 70s. I said if Joe was, his age wouldn't be an issue. Regardless, I'm not voting for Trump either.
He didn't destroy democracy, he tried to. After the 2020 election he tried to overthrow the government to stay in power. But I guess you weren't paying attention. But that's okay, it very likely that with the next election the American people will give him a chance to finish the job. Doesn't that say a lot about the American people? And pay attention this time.
