It was a completely different day when we/Pell got penalized. We were not the Florida and powerhouse brand we are now. The NCAA and the SEC wanted to keep us down. They would have never done that to Alabama, UT or Georgia back in the day. Don’t forget because I never will, cheater Alabama coach Mike Dubose is still walking around with an SEC championship ring from 1999. That is why 1984 will always be an SEC championship for me. The SEC stole it from us straight up because they were afraid of what we would become. “Wes Chandler was Percy Harvin before Percy Harvin was born.”
They already self-imposed that punishment by removing their top two QBs from being game ready at the end of last season.
If they had just kept their mouths shut, gone to the bowl game with most of their players, lost like gentlemen, and quit whining about well just everything, they might have gotten away with it.
Per the article below, investigators didn't find that head coach Mike Norvell had committed any violations. FSU football penalized by NCAA for NIL violations
Which is interesting since no one knows if this year was based on his coaching or he got lucky and hit on every one of his portal pickups. Guess we will find out. Could be good or could go back to what it was two years ago.
Genuine question, who would pick 13-0 in exchange for the sanctions they are receiving? I would take it.
There has to be something history-making about a coach getting an $80 million extension after just getting whipped 63-3.
Honestly, maybe it’s the poor artwork, but I can’t tell what’s supposed to be going on in that last picture.
