To be clear, New College will still offer four-year degrees. They're just now offering online AA degrees through some program that will just happen to enrich a DeSantis megadonor.

I had a hard time figuring it out exactly, but I think the point they are making is that there is no 4 year Liberal Arts degree that is solely New College faculty taught. In all cases, a substantial part of your classes, at least 2 years, are online through an outside vendor that you could pay for and access even if you were not enrolled in New College.

So the author of the tweet says NC should not be considered a “4 year college”, which I am assuming from context, perhaps wrongly, means 4 years of classes from college faculty. Not sure. Will check further or wait for one of our poster from academia

I don’t get why “seeing lobbies squirm” is so enjoyable. When I oppose Republicans or if the Democrats get a win, I care nothing about seeing the other side squirm. It’s about what I think is right or wrong and that’s where it ends. Conservatives have been governing by “own the libs” policies for so long that the term “own” has been obsolete for over a decade.

She clarified that since they'd now be offering two-year degrees, they'd no longer be considered a four-year college. My understanding is that there will still be the traditional New College program, so you could do the four years entirely in person. That said, New College has a unique brand, and this undoubtedly will dilute that. We'll see if that proves to be a good business decision or not.

Missed her clarification. Not sure. But I think one thing is clear is that nothing about New College going forward is clear. To use a recruiting analogy, you have no idea about the stability of the staff, the program or the system you are committing to. Everything is in flux, nothing seems stable

It will, at the least, increase enrollment - while watering down the curriculum.
The Great Books Curriculum upon which the AA will be largely based is the curriculum taught at Hillsdale College - the private Christian college they said they wanted to emulate.

Possibly because the libbies I speak of come off as hyper sensitive, Karens who think anyone who disagrees with them and their social justice mission is hateful and despicable.
Yeah, it’s funny to watch those libbies squirm. Most normal people agree.

To me, it means the middle of the political spectrum. The problem I have with my former party (democrat) is it has been taken over by the far left. Between them and the far right, we are f

Biden is not the "far left." There were options in the primary for more left-wing candidates (Sanders and Warren most notably). Democratic voters chose the more moderate path.

DEI is the baby of the far left. Biden has pushed the living H out of it. Under him the Government has based most of their hires and promotions on race and gender, not work record and ability. The VA has been gutted due to this policy.

Largely false (federal employment rules are pretty similar to what they have been for a long while now). But show your actual evidence of any of this at scale.
