Yeah just saw he is only making 4.2 at UW. I think Bama can do much better.

I wondered the same thing, but I think in the current state of college football NIL negates or at least diminishes the regional factor.

Wonder why Day isn't a candidate, he can't beat Michigan, sure Michigan is a slimy cheat of a program but Day won't stay in Columbus long if he keeps losing that game.

Promoting from within is not ideal when you miss on your first few choices and promote someone not up to it. Is there a Swinnwy or Day on their staff?

Steele, the DC, just retired. Rees, the OC, is only 31 years old. I'm sure Rees will get a HC chance in his career but the Bama job is too big for him right now. I have a really hard time seeing Bama handing the reigns over to a position coach.

They need to go get a name. At this point my guesses are Kiffin or Norvell in that order.

I got $500 on Rees. Going to be a really nice payout if I win. The reason I say Rees is no one wants to follow the GOAT so it's going to come down to a coordinator who wants to make a name for himself and get a nice buyout if things don't work out. Then they will get someone like a Lanning once they can Rees, because it's easier to follow Rees than Saban. Norvell is thinking about it and it's looking really nice but 16 straight 10-win seasons, 6 NCs, etc, that's a lot to live up to.

I honestly hate to say this but….
As much as Kiffen appears, on the surface, to be the opposite of Saban, in the end it’s about winning in Tuscaloosa. Kiffen has spent most of his time in the South so he understands the culture to fill the majority of a roster. He also doesn’t seem to flinch in the face of adversity or stress like so many do. Most likely because of his big ass ego. He is ready for this job more than most.

Deboer would be interesting but is he a fit? He seems right at home at Washington.

Norvell has the most to gain...if he's their target.

Norvell's buyout is only $4 million. That might be a consideration.

Will Muschamp's name is on that list? LMFAO! That is one deeply flawed list of coaches.
