Cashius Howell. Looked promising, but arms are now too short.

My wife was from Mississippi; my daughter went to Ole Miss. I have lots of relatives there via marriage. I know that place.

There is absolutely nothing to do in Mississippi but gossip, fish, hunt and watch sports. Not everyone likes to hunt and fish. Sports and gossiping on the other hand? Game on.

You are correct in that Mississippi is a poor state, but Ole Miss has a very united and dedicated booster and fan base; they spend almost zero time bitching about their university or athletic department. They have just enough alumni to come up with the cash they need, and they are willing to burn it. Google Richard "Dickie" Scruggs a lawyer (well, ex-lawyer, as he was disbarred); he has zero scruples, and he alone would write enough checks to make it happen.

That all sounds reasonable. Thanks for the insight. Kinda the same reason Alabama football has always been so big, I guess. I've spent a lot of time in that state, too. No high level professional sports there (MLB, NHL, NBA, NFL). Just some minor league baseball. Nothing else there in sports to focus on except college football.

How is this thread still going?

A tweener from Bowling Green committed to A&M and we got 5 pages?
