Start Condon over Micah? Micah and Samuel are playing soft Force the offense to run inside out more. These last few games, we have had no balance. What to do at the SF position? Stay as is? Start Kugel again to regain his confidence? 3 G lineup with Aberdeen? Could our offensive tempo be contributing to worse defense? Tired legs, not putting a premium on defense. Golden isn’t known for bad defense, so how does he get this team to play better D? What do you do about these careless turnovers every game between Clayton, Kugel, and Samuel? FT’s? Team needs a sports psychologist at the line. Micah - 25%, Haugh - 43%, Samuel - 52% Thoughts?
More Clayton Jr. and more (or any) pounding it inside and hammering the offensive boards. This isn’t a great shooting team (outside of Clayton Jr.).
I don't know what to do about the careless TOs but I think at the 15 minute mark, those 3 had 6 or 7 of our 8 TOs and all 8 were careless. I went to bed, down 8 and 15 minutes to go as it was smelling like a 20-pont loss at that time. These guys just don't care about the BB, that's my biggest gripe about this team. Condon needs to be starting.
Your best defenders at each position need to start. They are all skilled enough offensively that we won’t be in major trouble on that end.
While I don't disagree with the concerns, it should also be pointed out that Ole Miss shot the LIGHTS OUT last night. It is awfully disappointing after the 2 point KY loss at home, to see such an uninspired effort by the Gators. Outside of FSU and Pitt, UF has not done very well against the better teams. I predicted 11 - 7 for the SEC regular season. Well, for me to be correct UF will now have to go 11 - 5. It would be nice to see the Gators actually beat up on a good team going forward.
It is very hard to watch this team. Careless turnovers, bad FTs, bad shooting, too many missed layups. But no true superstars which is hard to do in the modern game in the big conferences. I don't think this team will get a SEC win until we play mizzou and Miss state
Florida Football: Former TAMU AAD Mark Robinson hired for front office Ive said it before, SS will not be given another bite of the apple to hire a football coach. His immediate future, I believe, is tied to BB making the NCAA. If not, I dont see how he survives with both his hires totally underperforming. It would seem an interim Athletic Director is going to be in the wings...watch this space.
still smh at him quitting basketball to go take a regular entry level job back at Yale had to have been something else behind it
I haven't a clue about wins and losses because this team is capable of beating teams they shouldn't. But, a couple of these guys are lazy on the court. Those careless turnovers you mentioned make the games hard to watch.
I am going to the Mizzou game and I doubt we are going to win. I will try reverse psychology and said Mizzou wins: book it. This team has NIT written all over it. Unless they can right the ship. I guess we can have a double header since both the women's and men team look at THIIS moment as NIT.
I'd like to see us score more points.....and improve our shooting %. And at the same time defend better so our opponents don't score as many points. I'm no expert but seems like that would help......
He's had a really rough last few games imo. Seems to be taken out of the game mentally too easily. Perhaps FT shooting was getting to him but he has to turn it around his overall game. No more 3 pt attempts or contested mid range shots for him. TG has to figure out a way to get him & Condon some touches down low. I think FL needs to slow down to better align towards the team & especially our big's strength. Seton Hall didn't play fast last yr I believe which worked to his benefit.
