I don't think Trump ever said "We need to go into the Capitol" I don't think Trump ever led people to the Capitol. I don't think Trump was ever seen whispering into the ear of somebody who 2 seconds latter was the first to tear down a police barrier on Jan 6. Believe me if some people who didn't even go to DC are serving prison time Epps deserves a little more than probation. Not saying it is for sure true but until someone is able to disprove those things ever happened it sure looks like Epps was working for the dumbocrats because they let him get away with a lot.

So who, specifically, is it that you think is serving a much harsher sentence than Epps who did less than Epps did?

From the OP's linked article. He obviously got tired before he finished reading it.:

"Images of Epps talking to others sparked accusations he was inciting the riot. But Epps and Samsel each told the FBI in separate interviews that Epps had said something to the effect of: “Dude, relax. The cops are doing their job.”

"Video taken on the Capitol grounds showed Epps made at least five attempts to reduce conflicts between rioters and police officers, according to court records."

"Prosecutors commended Epps for turning himself in two days after the riot and for encouraging others to reduce violence with police."

“This is a unique case in the context of January 6 defendants,” prosecutors wrote."

Things (partial list) that completely went over the OP's head:

Epps was charged with a misdemeanor.
    Epps didn't enter the Capitol.
    Epps turned himself in.
    Epps debriefed with law enforcement.
Epps accepted responsibility and pleaded guilty.
Epps demonstrated genuine remorse at sentencing.
Epps attempted to reduce tensions between law enforcement officers and rioters.
Epps was driven from his home and county of residence by MAGA maniacs.

Anyone that doesn't understand why Epps was treated more leniently has no business whatsoever...none....referring to another group as "dumbocrats."

Name a similarly situated Jan 6 defendant who was treated more harshly or shut your pie hole.

So in your eyes, Epps is more responsible for what happened at the Capitol that day than Trump is?

Obviously you have never watched the video. As soon as Epps whispers in Samsel's ear Samsel leads the crowd to the police barricade and starts tearing it down. My thoughts are it is probably more likely that they are both plants considering the video evidence.

That's exactly what he's saying, but if he even realizes it, he'll nonetheless say "that's different".

Who is this guy? Is he ex-law enforcement, or is that a MAGA conspiracy theory?

So your theory is that the FBI planted a guy then have held him without bond since then?

Is the theory the FBI planned 1/6 to make Maga look bad or something?

I pretty sure none of those MAGAs beating up cops and trashing the Capital Building were influenced by what some random guy on the street was yelling the night before ... hell, Epps even told people in the crowd to calm down and be peaceful when things started getting out of hand, that was confirmed by others, they didn't listen to him then, either.

No, no, no. It was the Democrats who planned and attempted an overthrow of an election they already won. Or something. I forget.

Dumb? I'll tell ya what's dumb - being gullible enough to listen to a person telling you to storm the Capitol building of the United States.

Words can be manipulated but video does not lie. Ray Epps is the only person who is on camera saying "We must go into the Capitol" That is out of thousands of hours of video the media has reviewed. But Epps wasn't an instigator? You guys call this worse than 911 or Pearl Harbor yet in his own testimony Ray Epps said "I orchestrated it". If someone were to say I orchestrated 911 or Pearl Harbor I think he would have been under the jail. Oh did I mention he is on camera saying "We need to storm the Capitol"?

Thing is, I’m fine with giving him a longer sentence, if that’s what you are fishing for… lock all these Trumpers up and throw away the key, for all I care. But like I said, I think he got a lighter sentence because he chickened out and didn’t enter the Capitol himself… it’s the difference between talking like a terrorist and actually committing a terrorist act…

But seriously, of all the people who have plead guilty to entering the building, has a single one told the judge that they only went in because Ray Epps said to? This guy had zero influence on what happened.
