Sorry to spoil your fun with the first post.

Clearly he is the kind of kid that Donovan would recruit. Too bad he isn't playing as a GATOR.

EJ likely will never spill the beans on why he left, but I can’t see the value of a masters degree in urban planning if you can’t teach a bunch of things that can no longer be taught at UF.

Congratulations are in order for E.J. He used athletics to gain work in the academia world. His future is bright, just wish he could have been playing his final year at Florida mens basketball, I bet he would have been a great teammate!

I'm not trying to be contentious but I can't figure out what it is you're saying here.

I didn’t want to get too deep into this because then would more likely belong in one of our other boards, but in being an urban planner, you need to deal with low income housing, and other types of issues that can involve things like critical race theory, diversity, equity, etc.

Yeah, I'm not going to dive into Too Hot but reading the current fellows' short bios is... let's just say eye opening.

UF has an excellent Urban and Regional Planning program. Don't think that they'll limit what they do because of political winds.

    Google "redlining".

    Can't teach about that anymore.

That’s what I was assuming, although I have no direct knowledge. For example, cramming low income housing into one or a few limited areas of a city seems to have resulted in high crime, low performing public schools, red-lining, etc. Can these types of issues be addressed in programs at UF or can they no longer be taught? I don’t have a clue, but I do have a clue that losing Jarvis was a big loss despite having 4 serviceable big guys plus Shimmy in the wings.
