Yale QB Aidan Warner Transferring to Florida (msn.com) 4 years of eligibility remaining...that is all.
Former 3*** from Florida. And from MY Alma mater. "Bulldogs, Bulldogs, Bow-wow-wow. Eli Yale!" Gotta remember Yale cheers are from the 19th C.
So now we're the Yale of the south? I thought we were Harvard of the south. Maybe we're slipping. Our team GPA just jumped up though.
Glad this young man is onboard. Could be a valuable backup and in this day and age teams often go into big games with their 2nd or 3rd option starting at the most single most important position on the football field. Billy found a guy who is most likely not going to ever be mentioned in Heisman conversation but he has talent, intelligence and is happy to be a Gator!
I agree, it's nice to see players that want to be Gators! Unlike Bazooka who was here for one year and entered the transfer portal the next year. And kudos to Jason Marshall for his loyalty when he could have entered the portal.
"He'll join the Gators as a preferred walk-on with four years of remaining collegiate eligibility, after spending a season on scholarship with the Bulldogs." Gave up a scholarship to be a PWO, Kid wants to be a Gator, I'll take it. And we have a good recent history with 3 star QB's.
Florida, where Ivy League transfers to. I read where Texas A&M just recruited our entire defensive players and staff (well a massive amount of them). My one question for A&M.....why?
Virtually every student at Yale receives some scholarship $$. None are the athletic variety. Maybe UF gave him some academic scholarship money
I believe this is Billy’s 9th or 10th transfer portal pick up. Excellent work!!! I like this pick up because he has four years remaining and now we have three scholarship quarterbacks in the room.
UF is giving him something. Another important portal pick up for Billy. Billy is working very purposeful in the portal.
Ivey League schools do not give athletic schlorships. Average cost to attend Yale is over $80,000. Average cost to attend Florida is about $20,000.
My wife has a grad degree from Yale. She got work study money and some other support. After we were married we owed @$50K— and that was late 80s
Some give “partial” in the way of reduced tuition. Had a friend whose son played at Princeton and the tuition was reduced to about half.
Coworkers son pitched for Harvard. She paid $4,000 per semester. Rest paid for via academic aid. They don’t have sports scholarships but aid programs cover majority of cost for athletes.
