Wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit to see him serve some time in jail but according to the article he was non-violent, tried to de-escalate the violence on multiple occasions, turned himself in, and showed remorse for his actions.

That all seems pretty consistent with the judge showing some leniency. If I'm not mistaken, many of the sentences handed down, including for people who ended up getting jail time, have been well below what the DOJ was recommending.

Poor, poor Trumpeteers. First, they cry foul because their seditious monsters were punished too harshly. Then they cried fouled because the FBI planted Epps to rile em up. When the facts turned on them again, as Epps was clearly not an FBI-plant, they cried foul because they were wrong. Now it comes full circle — they cry foul because Epps, who turns out to be one of them (albeit without actually invading the Capitol), was not treated harsh enough (even though in fact he was treated exactly consistent with other non-violent “tourists” with similar behavior.

Trumpeteers just can’t get their arguments straight.

I thought I just read a couple of days ago that Epps is suing FoxNews due to its former superstar Tucker Carlson calling him an FBI plant helping instigate the riot. Not that another defamation suit matters to FoxNews, I guess. Apparently its treasure chest is unlimited. A few million to Epps would be pocket change.

Dumbocrats know everybody has seen Epps on Jan 5 telling people to go "into" the capitol and on Jan 6 showing the crowd the way to the capitol. I'm sorry Dumbocrats if you are too dumb to see Ray Epps was one of the leaders who led Jan 6. Was he a government agent? It sure looks that way when he for all practical purposes went unpunished.

Wait until you hear about the guy who was the main driving force behind Jan 6th and how he's trying to avoid any accountability...

I'm so confused. I thought it was BLM and Antifa that entered the building. Now we're saying it was the Feds that orchestrated it? No wait, they were peaceful Trump supporters. Or were they tourists?

And he was criminally charged!!!! That’s what happens to people who break laws (other than Trump); they are held accountable.

And as for the silly scapegoating by the a Trumpeters, like all the other lies and contrivances, it was false at inception. The guy was never an FBI plant, or government agent of any sort. Just a loser caught up in Trumpeteer election lies, who ended up having his life ruined due to Trumpeteer false finger-pointing.

Let’s see, today is Tuesday … so they were Feds. I think it’s Wednesdays that they were antifa.

What so sad is that these people still think Trump won the election.

Of course it was the feds. The head of the executive branch of the federal government organized a rally that day in order to pressure the legislative branch to renege on their constitutional duty.

Why believe breaks in logic, obscure video clips, internet rumors and far- fetched conspiracy theories, and nothing ever proven. vs considering the straight forward facts. Check-out “confirmation bias” & “occam’s razor”

IIRC, Epps didn't even go inside the building. He was recorded saying he wanted people to go inside though, and helped breach one of the outside barricades, I believe.

So what you're indirectly saying is that Eastman, Giuliani, and maybe even the defeated former president himself although none of them actually entered the Capitol should be incarcerated because like Epps they urged others to storm the Capitol.

I don't get it. Now Trumpers want 1/6ers to get harsher sentences? Next thing you know they'll want an explanation for Jared getting $2B from the Middle East.
