If I’m understanding this correctly, the game will not be nationally televised but instead streamed to out of market viewers on peacock. I believe in market will still be able to watch. This is absurd. I’m a dolphins fan but I’m torn between paying for a month of peacock and sending a message that it’s not ok.
Yeah it won’t break the bank to pay for it but I feel if enough people refuse to stream it they won’t do it again next year. The playoffs should be nationally televised imo
I would definitely watch this if it were on a non-streaming platform. I understand it's a fairly inexpensive buy, but I don't want to give in to this. Before you know it, we will be forced to pay $40 to watch all of the playoff games, and then another $50 to watch the Super Bowl. That's where this is headed.
This might sound a little "get off my lawn", but I dispute the impled definition of nationally televised. Back in the day of network television and antennas, nationally televised meant free to watch. Now, you can only watch "nationally televised" live sports with a cable subscription or Dish service or paid streaming equivalent. Events on network television are rare, and receiving a digital antenna broadcast is even more rare. My point is, you should have rejected pay-for-sports access a LONG time ago because it costs a lot now.
If you are in Miami or KC you will be able to get the game on a local station. I will try to find it pirated on you tube.
Another reason to skip the kneel crowd..and it’s the NFL future you wanna watch, it will be all only streaming..transfer portal, NIL, NFL, my weekends are becoming more and more free time..
In Columbia Mo. no game on TV. People not happy. Channel 8 sport director said last night it wasn't the station decision so please stop calling.
I won't be watching. Between You Tube TV, Netflix & Prime, I'm paying all I'm willing to pay. Doesn't matter who wins because they'll get beat in Buffalo the following week.
I pay $2/month. If you’re a dolphin or Taylor swift fan, certainly you can afford to pay $2 to watch.
I'll check the score late into the evening or the next morning. No sports matter that much after growing up having to check the long list of scores in the paper the following day. Dont torment yourself.
Streameast.net is free and the most reliable streaming site I’ve come across for all sports. I watch a ton of NBA and MLB on there. I’ve never had it fail me when I want to watch the Dolphins when I’m blacked out because of the Jags.
This really is the much of the future of sports broadcasting. If you are old enough, you may remember people being very upset that you had to have cable to watch the basketball tournament because many of the games were on ESPN. If you wanted to watch last nights football game, you had to pay for ESPN. The cost of sports TV are rising so much, not even ESPN is going to be able to keep pace and more and more will be on these OTT type providers.
