In only their second true road game, the 10-4 Gators play the 13-1 Ole Miss Rebels on Wednesday, Jan 10, 9pm. The game will be broadcast on SECn. Pick the score, the Most Valuable Gator (MVG), and the Stat of the Game (SoG). SoG is Gator free throw %. Gators 79 Ole Miss. 75 Pullen 63% I hope we get refs that are consistent on their calls for both teams. Something is off this year with us getting a fair shake. Our AD should rattle the SEC office if we get jobbed again. To not speak up is just letting your team down. As for the rebels, they rode into a buzz saw in Knoxville. We better play our best forty minutes of basketball to even have a chance! Hopefully Pullen can play at his high level, since there hasn’t been any updates on here.
You know that Ole Miss is really bad at FT defense. The only way you get that bad is to foul the wrong guys. Since they played a bunch of bad teams I can't think of a reason why they would have to do that. Funny intramural game story. One of our players was trying to distract the opposing free throw shooter and all I could do was roll my eyes. That is a T and he earned one. An even funnier intramural FT story was when we were shooting a free throw and missed, an opposing player got the rebound and shot the ball at our basket and made the shot. With tongue in cheek I asked the refs if it was a three point shot because he was outside his own arc.
