No idea but I'd guess AA stays on the field as the hype guy and RR goes up in the booth to allow his experience to see the field better. If that's the case RR probably has more opportunity to call plays or at least have the most input.
I thought AA and Roberts have had a working relationship in the past. If so, they should know how to get it done... on the same page.
Never mind recruiting, I hope a short term effect will be player development. Last night’s game reminded me what it’s like to watch a team that can tackle.
Being the mentor on the coaching tree to Aranda, … is good enough for me. Lot of years experience at P5 level. Definitely what we needed. Billy still hiring people he knows and trusts but those where defensive philosophy fits. Auburn has lost a few defensive coaches since ESD
Starting to wonder about the above question. Did AA balk at this hire? Hammering out a contract? Other University offer a competing bid for his services? Someone needs to spill the tea.
Background check? Read he was fired at both Baylor and Auburn. Something happened with McGriff at Auburn reportedly. Strange happenings indeed. Unless waiting on a NFL guy, this is unusual not to announce when cos h could be there for junior days
Baylor's D tanked when he left even though Aranda is thought as a great defensive mind, and at Auburn O was the problem, not D. CBN will be well aware of what went down at both locations.
I don’t. It’s been quite spotty over the last 10 years. Until last season I watched quite a bit of high school ball. Good tackling or even good approach and technique has been rare for many years.
Glad his hire was finally announced. Executive Head Coach, co DC and LB coach. Sounds like a great football mind and D coordinator
