I didn't get to see the game today but it' not simply the number of fouls called on Florida. If one team gets to play physically and the other team doesn't, or there are stretches where the other team gets to play overly-physical, it affects the game in so many more ways that just points from the FT line.
Agree, the team getting all the fouls called on them has a tendency to play more tentatively and less aggressive..as it was, I think 2 of our players, Dut and Matharu fouled out, and 3 others were in foul trouble ( ended up with 4 apiece)
Wasn’t able to watch the game but it seems like we got the short end of the stick on the officiating again. What jumps out at me as well is the combined turnovers for both teams, 49!!! In the mens game against Kentucky both teams combined for 20 turnovers. So the women combined for 149% more turnovers or almost as many turnovers as in two and a half mens games! Think about that for a moment! The womens game is almost unwatchable at times. Question, you mentioned Rimdal did not score in the game but I noticed she only played 9 minutes. Was she injured? Zippy, on the other hand, played 24 minutes although she has been relatively ineffective all year long recovering from injury.
Don't think Rimdal was injured, but Kyle got dinged up during the game. It seems as if Rimdal's minutes decrease when Broughton's increase, but not sure that's why she didn't play more against Vandy.
You won't get it from the school. I am listening to the announcers in the UT game tonight. If we hear anything it will be there.
