Yes. And the South Carolina coach at that time too. Eddie Fogler?

Well, he definitely pushed the envelope. Pelphrey sleeping on his doorstep so he could be the first contact out of a dead period, BD stalking him play during a non-contact period, the whole hot tub incident. But he had to be unconventional to get kids here. It worked. He also came to hate it.

    Awesome stuff.
A lot of great advice amongst the humility. My son had forwarded this to me and I didn't realize Miller was now a successful HS coach in the Memphis area.

Great people always push the envelope, in whatever discipline they are in. Pushing the rules to the limit, without crossing them is part of that.

Billy pushed the limits, but didn't cheat. Do you think the coaches that complained about him can say the same?

I’m on it … why I posted I’ll never know! After the Jags lost I can hardly handle it anymore. Any art festival in Alabama that I can attend. I need to leave the sports arena . Everything just sucks! Plus my golf game

Like Billy said in the interview with Miller and Haslem….when the Kentucky, Kansas, Carolina and Duke’s of the world started recruiting a kid, other schools just quit recruiting those kids, because they knew they weren’t getting them. Billy upset that easy recruiting life for the big boys and gave them a harder worker to go against. Of course they were upset. They were going to have to work harder to get players they wanted.

I enjoyed this immensely. It says so much about all three of these men. We can be very proud of them. OAGAG!

RE "Billy = Greatest" yada yada...we Florida alums and fans have a LOT to be proud of across all of our sports history. Mouse, Spurs, Billy...rare men. Why compare? Each sport differs vastly, and each has never failed to represent UF in the highest possible manner.

Are you doing the Robert Trent Jones Trail? My dad LOVED golf and played most of the iconic British Open courses and always wanted to play the RTJ Trail in Alabama.
