Those comments about s&c were pretty damning. Not that it wasn’t visibly obvious on the field (see Kentucky and Utah). Glad Billy made the change and thank you princely for shedding some light on what most of us suspected.

    Now go be gator bait.

Gotta love these comments from Princely regarding The Swamp:
"My experience with the fans, and the 90,000 fans in the Swamp, was great. It’s crazy how you really can’t tell the difference on TV,
but when you go to these other stadiums, the Swamp is the loudest stadium in college football. Only LSU is close."

Casts doubt on Princely’s contention that S&C had move away from strength and leaned more to endurance …

Fun Fact: we were bigger on both sides of the ball than the Huskers. They were faster than us at key positions.

Since they were smaller than us, what did the steroids do for them ?

Stronger and faster. Lance Armstrong type of thing. It’s not just about stepping on a scale. It’s performance enhancing.

I doubt that they were bigger squatters and bench pressers. I don’t doubt that they recruited faster athletes at key positions.

His comments about S&C came away as more frustration and a bit whiney to me. He's still a kid, yet folks were viewing his opinion on a S&C as absolute truth. He's an athletic, strong dude, but the reality is he hasn't been able to put on the weight to have his hand in the dirt all the time regardless of which S&C coach he's had. He'll need to put on 20-30 lbs to make it as a DE at the next level. I don't see him as a viable LB. In my mind, he's that dreaded category that we've had a lot of...tweener.

IRT his quote about S&C not helping when 350 OL get their hands on him, well, IMO, you aren't going to win a lot of straight up strength matches against guys 100 pounds heavier on a regular basis at this level no matter what you did in the weight room. A simple way to look at it is Force=mass X Accel (of course there's a lot more to it, center of gravity, footing, etc).

I'm sure he'll have a solid year for the Rebels though.
