But let us celebrate that he is willing to share with us why he believes what he does. Maybe now he'll start posting data as well.

Hydroxychloroquine use in COVID pandemic may have led to 17,000 deaths

Nearly 17,000 deaths induced by hydroxychloroquine
A new study published in Biomedicine & Pharmacotherapy now estimates the fallout from the drug’s off-label use.

Researchers led by Jean-Christophe Lega, a Professor of Therapeutics in the Lyon, France hospital system, investigated studies conducted in France, the United States, Belgium, Italy, Spain, and Turkey from March 2020 until July 2020.

"HCQ use was associated with an 11 per cent increase in the mortality rate in a meta-analysis of randomised trials," the study noted, citing a meta-analysis published in 2021 in Nature which the researchers used to calculate the number of deaths induced by the drug.

"What we need to bear in mind is that this is a rough estimate, in the sense that it only concerns a few countries over a short period, and that the total number of deaths is probably much higher," Lega told French broadcaster France 3.

A good example of why we should have had open discussion about vaccinations and any other method being considered to help. By poo-pooing and shutting it down, I’m sure made many people suspicious and actually led them to use these products.

I read an article at the time that opined that being infected with parasites made you more likely to die from Covid. So if you had worms it helped.

So does this mean we can strike 17,000 from the never-ending Covid Death Ticker.

That’s another thing. When have we ever had a never-ending death ticker for any other ‘virus’ ?

HCQ and vaccines are the same thing, non-necessary and potentially risky pharmaceutical interventions.

The reason why drugs such as HCQ and Ivermection are panned, by Covidians, is that they are not narrative-approved as are Remdesivir and vaccines.

    No.

There was never any evidence to support hydroxxxxxxx. From the beginning it was said it was potentially harmful. This evidence supports what was said from the beginning.

As to vaccines there is all kinds of evidence to support their efficacy and also their relative / comparative safety.

That would be for ivermectin. There is some evidence that ivermectin may have helped in those countries where a high percent of population had parasites.

Early on there was speculation that it may help and Trump endorsed it.

Because if there is anyone I want to trust when it comes to science, it’s the idiot who told us to inject bleach.

Yep. At the same time knowing HCQ is generally a safe drug when used as prescribed (I never would have taken it for Covid but the idea it caused death is suspicious). This has bs written all over it. This is not a RTC put together with a solid end point. There are going to be all sorts of problems with this “study”…

I don’t think HCQ was a major factor in Covid. But the idea it was completely shut down was a red flag. Ivermectin is another I would not have taken. But it is a safe drug to try when prescribed by a doctor.

I think both of these drugs offered minimal benefit and minimal harm. So to just go scorched earth on them is a major red flag!

Arguably far fewer would have died from bleach.

And on a totally seriously note, Trump was undoubtedly correct when he argued that if people would stop testing, Covid would go away.
