    Absolutely horrific free throw shooting.
    Pretty poor game plan.
    Stupid fouls.

    They missed 8

I think Richard going 0-8 was the killer

    Samuel didn’t show up either

agree to a point, but bad shooting days happen. You can overcome a player shooting poorly.

bad free throw shooting seasons… yield losses; and it’s tough to overcome collective ineptitude at the line.

Our advantage was inside. I don’t think we used it.

I just don't understand how we play the exact same defense the whole game...UK made adjustments at the half and their half court sets were considerably better in the 2nd half. Just once or twice during a game you need to mix it up on defense just to get the other team uncomfortable or get out of rhythm. You might be able to steal a possession or two. Even Cal ran a little trap at times. 85 points should have been enough to win but Kentucky had a 50 point 2nd half.

Got it. That is what Bilas kept saying. We needed to go inside more. Even if it sas just to kick out for 3. Just get thr ball down low and make the defense chase more for open looks inside our outside.

    Most likely our defensive gameplan.

I don't think we had an "advantage" there, so to speak. But I'm old school and the college game still needs to be inside-out to be maximized...and we didn't do that enough, especially the 2nd half.

Richard and Samuel not showing up killed us. You are very astute in your observation.

Im a big fan of Golden's offense..not liking his defense even though it was better today than in the past.

If the game plan was to go 0-8 and 16.7% it was a bad game plan.

    Deserve? We earned that loss.

It’s beyond frustrating to watch a team that can’t hit free throws.
What’s the point of playing basketball at this level if you can’t do that?

Pullin, clayton, Richard, Kugel —> 50 attempts

Handlogten, condon, samuel —-> 15 (and several off offensive rebounds)

i just don’t think we made any commitment to the interior.

Aberdeen should pass Richard and if not start, be the first guy off the bench
Richard blew this game almost singlehanded. No way he can play with elites like UK

Kentucky wasn't much better at the line and was 5-20 from 3.

the key stat in the game was the second half turnover differential and Kentucky outscoring us 15-6 on turnovers for the game.

I don't know what was the matter with Samuel. He looked extremely lethargic. Wonder if he was ill?

14 assistant coaches sitting behind Golden and no one can teach how to shoot a free throw?

    Inexcusable.

Golden never sits near them either. That guy is intense and with his chair next to the Gatorade stand. Funny thing is, he drinks bottle water the entire time. Lol. Funny but the guy is what a lot of fans wanted with a coach that isnt scared to bench his star player (Kugel) and chew out thr refs. Now he needs to teach his kids to shoot FTS!!!!!!
