Please note that Canada does not seem to be on board, saying they don't have the extra supply. The program is open to state owned facilities like prisons, and possibly later to Medicaid participants, not the public nor Medicare participants. It could save the state some money if Canada gets onboard.
My mom used to get some scrips from Canada via mail and she was an RN. She passed away in 2004. My point is this was pretty common back then.
