As for the actual topic of the thread... I think this is a really good decision and expect this to be the standard for high end programs in the near future. My only question is the hierarchy. Does the GM report to the coach or the AD? If the intent is for stability, I would assume they would report to the AD, but perhaps still take instruction from the coach. Could be a bit messy at the start.
You people waiting for a new play caller will be waiting until we have a new coach. Still have no idea why anyone thinks he's turning the offense over to someone else.
If it is going to be nfl-lite, then why not do the front office thing to manage what amounts to free agency and talent acquisition? Then have a separate staff for player development and coaching.
The current contracts of both Sale & Stapleton expire at the end of this month. Unfortunately, I fully expect Billy will give Sale another 2yr $1+mil per contract before then.
Just saw email that UF is launching a new sports focused initiative. Sasse? UF strategic sports initiative funding
Just weird they haven’t done it if that’s the plan. I know that’s the general assumption, especially after what dj said.
It's just wishful thinking, started around mid-season from someone who "knows someone on the inside" that an OC was coming.
