Yep. We lose Zyon from the backcourt, and possibly Riley (I would have said "definitely" on Riley two months ago). At the point guard, without new additions, I envision Aberdeen starting at the point next season, backed up by Clayton. However, I can also envision a sophomore jump by Kajus into the starting point guard. He shows flashes of brilliance. Either way, I'm not particularly worried about the position.

K___ at the 1, Aberdeen at the Clayton role. But that supposes Aberdeen finally "gets it" when we play SEC competition. And as odd as it sounds, it all feels as if Kugel will be the odd player out. BUT that supposes what Aberdeen does from now on and what kind of mental funk Kugel is in once the SEC competition begins.

if Clayton and Richard return, they start at the two and three. That would make Denzel the starting point guard. We know nothing about Kublickas other than he looked good against Grambling. As for Riley, I would expect him to go into the draft or the portal.

Unless Clayton is a dedicated Gator, I don't think he stays around. He has hit his ceiling and it is time to go make a living. Richard will stay and be the 3.

Not sure about this statement. What does Aberdeen need “to get”, and what makes you think he doesn’t already “get it”?

I hope we don’t have to deal with Kugel struggling the rest of the year and having to wonder what he is going to do at the end of the season.
I would much rather prefer he gets hot, we make a deep run in the post season and he is off to the NBA!

Clayton is a 4-year player. He's good at most everything but I don't see him as an early departure for the NBA and we can NIL deal him as much as most foreign leagues will pay.
And Aberdeen is not going to take Clayton's spot at the 2. Maybe at the 1.

He played really well against Grambling but less-than-wow against the other teams. That is obviously a step or two behind what he will face in the SEC. He may have a hard ceiling that works against that level and not other levels. We shall see.

He hasn’t really got the minutes to wow us. He’s not expected to be more than a role player when he checks in, so it’s a different mind set when you are in the game under those circumstances.

They could surpass him in time. Not sure where the ceiling is for either.

Can they make free throws? That is our biggest weakness.

Condon is a raw talent who, I think, will make a huge leap between this year and next. He's a fighter and hustles like crazy, plus has some moves. He leads UF in blocks this year, 2nd in rebounds and is only 6th in minutes played. He has the potential to develop into a player every bit as good as Samuel, IMO. Love that kid.

Agreed. He seems to be the complete package, physically and mentally. All SEC So or Jr if we have him that long.

Condon is a stud that is just getting started learning the game.
