    Saban had a remarkable season.
I know it's almost sacrilegious to admit it,
I was kinda rooting for Big Blue, I figure Saban has plenty of trophies he can polish.

The O-line is definitely run blocking and the right tackle pulls across the line to the left edge, so it definitely wasn't a pass play that Milroe ad-libbed. Even the WRs on the left side of the formation take two steps upfield and then turn in to see the run.

I *think* Milroe was meant to run off the left tackle (based on the pulling lineman), but #0 for Michigan gets upfield at the snap and makes Milroe run straight up instead.

I'm playing golf tomorrow with a huge Bama fan who also roots hard for FSU. He absolutely hates the Gators. I'm torn on how much grief I should give him. He's an older guy and I may push him over the top. He may spontaneously combust.

Michigan is fast and physical. It’s D line mauled and harassed Milroe and it’s DB’s were all over Bama’s WR’s.

Yeah looks like if he was able to get to the RB would have been a race to the endzone.

That was it, if he gets the ball out to the RB, he runs it in no problem. No way the call was for Milroe to run up the middle into a wall. Yeah, the snap was a bit low, but he caught it no problem, then panicked. Not his best game, at all.

Still should have flipped it out there. Not like the outcome would be any worse, and at least that had a better chance for the end zone than the dive up the middle.

According to Milroe, he’s already won it. Maybe his old O coordinator was right?

Ahh yes, isn't that all we heard this week? How Bill O'Brien dissed him and said he shouldn't be a QB or something? He's shown flashes, but he's been pretty mediocre overall. A decent QB would have gotten Bama over the top tonight.

Perhaps. Harbaugh can coach defense, and put one hell of a defense on the field.

    Defense wins championships.

Which is why, on the final play, Milroe panicked. He had been under serious pressure the whole game, and the low snap-which would have only caused a fraction of a second delay--blew the play up. He had no confidence of it working once that happened.

One may not like Harbaugh but he is a good coach.

Yes, it is plausible that Michigan's defense was THE story of the game. I would postulate that THE story was written by Milroe. He was the reason why they got to the playoffs after Bama's season was basically over. For Bama to win the game, he had to be the difference. He plainly was not.

Give the front 7 of Michigan credit but Milroe could have been a lot better. Methinks his clock struck midnight at a bad time.

"Booker said the final play of the game, where Milroe was stopped, was "one-back power/quarterback power."

'Saban said the Tide were prepared for Michigan to pressure. "But we thought we could gap them and block them and make it work, and it didn't," he said."
