I don't like Ohio State even a little bit but what happened to them before they played Mizzou was unconscionable. They lost their starting QB to the transfer portal and their best WR opted not to play. The system of greed ,agents,NIL and transfer portal is destroying the best sport ever. Teammates, fans (who pay the bills),administrations, vendors all suffer because of players (who owe their success to coaches and scholarships) opt out, transfer or leave early. Soon fans will stop buying tickets. Think of the Ohio State fans who spent money on transportation, food, hotel rooms...only to watch their team look like an anemic high school team.Someone needs to organize and implement controls over this whole mess asap.BTW why would the QB from Ohio State transfer to Syracuse a team that has not been relevant in years?

If had a uniform NIL structure, could require fulfillment of contract to be paid in terms of Bowl game or playoff.

Ohio State coach would not commit to their starting QB that he would start next year. Ohio State fans were also negative about his play and 2 losses.

UGA lost more kids than most programs. Lot of 4 and 5 star talent departing or in portal. Their best TE sat out last night due to injury. UGA just has tremendous depth

You clearly don't know what happened at OSU and you are using it to get on your soapbox.

The starting QB left because the head coach openly in the media wouldn't support him as the starter for the bowl game and next season. Day was actively looking for a QB in the portal. The same for Rodemaker at FSU, Norvell was actively going after DJ Uggelli(sp) from Oregon St. It had nothing to do with greed.

But go ahead and keep ranting away and blame the players....

As for the disappointed fans, they are the one donating to the NIL collectives to pay the players. If you want to rant, go after the boosters and fans. The players are just taking what is being given, which they absolutely should.

BTW, coaches owe their big checks to players. It's a two way street.

As for the scholarships, the schools are the ones begging players to come play for them. When a player has 30 offers he has every right to pick and choose and get the most he can out of it. It's his life and career, you are just a bystander.

How long did it take for you to remove the garnet and gold glitter last night after the Orange Bowl massacre? This post is just another fsu troll's way of trying to get others to agree so you can use it as a way of blaming opt outs for the debacle we saw from your team last night.

And? These guys are now professional athletes. Nut up and earn your job. Roster spots are now jobs -- with huge earning potential, especially the QB -- not positions. If you can't take the heat (to earn the pay) retreat to the shade.

He did earn it. He won eleven games as the starter, coaches are crying about loyalty but don't want to give it back.

The fans don't have it either, they are just fine telling a player to hit the road as soon as a shiner object shows up. " We need the scholarship for a better player" too bad you spent 2/3 years on my team doing your best to better yourself and the team, go away. SMH

The very best should play. Loyalty went out window with the establishment of NIL and TP.

College football is no longer a game it's a business. Businessmen must guard their skill-set. I hate it, ISWII

Ohio St and Alabama have always been paying more for players than any other D1 schools. So how do I feel about this, it’s a taste of medicine they have always got around with money. Greed is biting them in the butt. Same thing with Georgia and Florida St. It is happening to Florida too.
We have our issues because we do NIL pay but we don’t give out additional pay/cash/cars under the table, these fore-mentioned teams do, anything to win.

You comment about loyalty then criticize when a player leaves. So, what's your complaint?

Totally. Look at Ugaleilei (sp). He’s going on his 3rd team in almost as many years. Clemson, Oregon St, and now off to the portal again. Talented, yes, but I would be seriously concerned about his mental toughness and team chemistry.

He's a mercernary. Perfect candidate for fsu. Did he start at Clemson and O. St.?
