Having the luxury of time now to look back on WM's career, I believe he has demonstrated himself to be a good DC, but not 'great' by standard.

 

He is definitely not a good HC.

 

There is nothing wrong with rational, well thought out disagreement, but do you honestly believe that is what is going on not just here but across the entire spectrum of Gator centric forums.

There are polls asking respondents to set a number on Napier’s IQ, questions about whether anyone really likes Coach Napier, this one asking fans to rank coaches etc., etc.

Ignoring obvious concerns within our program is counterproductive, but never to the degree that constant, and I mean constant negativity (apparently for no other purpose than to be negative) is. There is no question enough negativity harms the program. It’s totally legitimate to question the motives of some of the chronically negative posters.

Recruits do read these forums, perhaps they should be sophisticated enough to understand where it’s coming from, but the fact is 17-18 year olds aren’t always that savvy.

Legitimate concerns are always fair game, but even they can be discussed ad nauseam. To me it is a simple, if apparently old fashioned principle… “first do no harm”. The only question is does constant negativity help or harm the program we all profess to love. To me the answer is obvious.

 

Agreed. Despite not liking to recruit SOS still produced a top 10 class annually.

 

You’re not wrong. Perpetually behind SWAC, though. And he didn’t seem very interested in taking the steps needed to correct that.

 

We apparently have different tastes in movies. I’ll bet you’re a big ABBA fan too

 

BN is #1 because he’s a process guy and he’s changing the culture and give him through 2025.

 

Say it louder and slower for the whiners. Most of my supportive comments still acknowledge concerns. Not one of my comments is full of sunshine pumping and yet the simps think anything that doesn't outright disparage the program and coach is a pump.

Case in point, candy starts a thread about the signees and the expectations going forward in the portal and a troll takes the opportunity to address none of the subject matter only to bash and say Napier will be gone in 25 anyway.

Useless.

Recruiting back then was so different from what it is now, it’s not really worth comparing.

That movie was terrible, had to watch it for 'movie day' at school as a kid. You're always crying on here though, kinda reminded me of it.

ABBA is far before my time. You strike me as a get of my lawn kinda guy who can't handle people who disagree with them. Unfortunate type of attitude for a discussion forum tbh.
