Okay, they just opted out of playing for Georgia, ever again. Feel better, now?

Then he pleaded no contest and got a year probation, a measly $1,000 fine, and 80 hours of community service. That’s a slap on the wrist.

He is being sued by his deceased teammate’s father for $40 million though.

To tie it into the original topic, to have that “winning culture,” you need to have the police department and DA on your side. Sure, they had to do something about it, but anyone outside of the football program would have went to prison.

I think we get it. You're heavily invested in promoting the LegHumper "culture." LOL! :)

I think the OP was referring to commitment to the team and being willing to play for their teammates, not the off-the-field culture stuff.

We don’t understand what it is like to be an in-state hegemon like they are. Literally the entire state is singularly focused on UGA winning in football. Even when we were at our best we still had 60% of the state against us.

Spot on and glad to see we can complement greatness. Kirby has something going special and deserves the kudos. I’ve said that for 2-3 years.

Actually, Athens is a neat little town. I’m a native Gainesvillian and I envy the way Athens’ downtown interacts with the campus. It’s altogether more stimulating than Gainesville.

Wasn't referring to Athens. Was talking about uga. Their mascot licks his ass and balls. Cultured doesn't fit.

He's not just recruiting high school or transfer portal, he's recruiting his players from leaving early. He has gotten a lot of top players from declaring for the draft and that is really helping them with leadership.

And he did it before NIL but not without money. Meanwhile we hardly ever have anyone stay that is sniffing the draft

Great post .. the state of Florida is different. Nobody thinks UF is a big deal. Just another school and getting worse because of the acceptance rates are so difficult . UF is really different , when they come to visit high schools for potential students the culture and vibe are pretentious and haughty. I told them they need to get off their high horse. Kids are not impressed in their presentation

Not sure exactly what you mean by this. However, the subject is opt-outs, not the broader overall picture.
