Ole Miss dominated the 2nd half. They had a 3 TD lead with about 5 minutes left and quit trying to score. Just ran the ball and punted, then played a soft zone that allowed Penn St. to score a late, meaningless TD. Great win for the Rebel program. Another big game loss by James Franklin. He's a really good coach, just has trouble beating quality teams.

My dad used to go there if UF played them in the 60s. They were still fielding very good teams including two national championships in the 60s. One year there was a double header with Ole Miss playing one game and Miss. State playing another. I think that time it was in Jackson. He loved going there.

The stadium is pretty average, 65K I think, but the Grove tailgating is a unique experience....Highly recommend. You have to like crowds, music, good food and blondes tho. Oxford Square is a cool area, with several very good restaurants.

Kiff wins 11 games, in the west, at Ole Miss. Impressive! He’s gone heavy on defense shopping at the portal store this month. If he finds a way to field a solid defense, look out.

Yea, their scoreboard shows a couple NCs from the 50s/60s that no one else recognizes, kind of bama like.

The Grove is awesome, best pre/post game hangout area in the SEC, imho.

When those plays work, like Ole Miss’ reverse throw to quarterback, it looks like genius. When they don’t work, it looks stupid.

I was raised in Memphis and my cousins went to Ole Miss. I've spent many hours in The Grove. Ole Miss fans were always nice and laid back it seemed. More of a frat party extension back then (70s into the 80s). Probably a little different but you're right about the no big rivalry.

Does that explain Maryland 31 Auburn 13?

Doesn't seem like it's changed that much. Folks still dress up for games, especially the coeds.

Ole Miss fans I met seem to have respect for UFs program in all sports and didn't really expect to win the football game. I'm sure that will now be different. (I've also been to a baseball game there, also a great environment and Gators won.)

I can't really explain that one... did ole miss not look more athletic in space than Penn state? Penn state had the best defense in the country playing against all Big Ten teams, but gave up about 600 yards today.

Yes, Ole Miss looked more athletic than Penn State, although Penn State put up a fight for most of the game. I guess I don’t draw conclusions about entire conferences based on one game between two teams.

Id say ole miss looked better than many thought and Auburn far worse ( tho I only saw the score in that one )
