Actually, I thought the offensive rebounding by Q was fluky. They racked up most of them simply because the ball bounced right to them.
His shot was really flat in the beginning games, even at the free throw line. His shot is looking really good at this time.
Gotta be pretty happy with a 23-point halftime lead. That's really hard to get and Q isn't a bad team.
Z Pullin - 16 points (6-of-8 FG, 3-of-4 3pt, 1-of-2 FT, 2 Reb, 2 Asst, 2 TO) Richard - 15 points (5-of-9 FG, 4-of-7 3pt, 1-of-1 FT, 3 Reb, 2 Stl, 1 Asst, 0 TO) Clayton - 10 points (2-of-3 FG, 0-of-1 3pt, 6-of-7 FT, 2 Blk, 2 Asst, 0 TO)
Quinnipiac is rebounding the ball well, 23-22 in their favor at the half. But our ball movement and outside shooting has been great. 1o assists to only 4 turnovers. Pullin is so valuable orchestrating the offense, Clayton is an excellent one on one creator of shots and Richard can flat out shoot. And our bigs are athletic, versatile and tough. I really feel for Kugel, as he seems to have lost his confidence. But I LOVE this team and can't wait to see them compete in the SEC.
Mark Wise said something to that effect, that ZP seems to be getting better and better from 3. I REALLY want Kugel to get a wide-open 3 early in the 2nd and knock it down. His confidence needs a boost.
Lol...part of the reason why we are so good at rebounding (especially offensive) is the fact that we MISSED a lot of shots in previous games. Now that ee are making shots (hope it continues), we will not be as elite at rebounding. Funny how making shots and offensive rebounding work like that. Lol
Hopefully Kugel isn't following a repeat of Kowacie Reeves. But Sampson should have colored his hair rather than cutting it.
Yep, he has more arch on the ball the last few games. I noticed that as well and think that he has been in the gym working on it
It was 55% at one point so it went up nicely. Also closed the half on a 15-4 run in the last 4 minutes.
Lipscomb hangs on to beat FSU. Have to think Leonard Hamilton is nearing his end with his age and recent downfall of the team.
