Ohio State scored 3 points versus Mizzou tonight. Ohio State with Todd Day and 2 losses per year because they play in a weak Big Ten conf and don’t play anyone. Ohio State has 5 losses in the SEC. The very best SEC teams are still better than the best teams in other conferences

I even argued with Gator fans here that Smith would be a day one receiver that would be featured and I said which championships has Day ever won on his own at OSU. Sure they still win a lot and we are not but to put him on some pedestal as a champion of college football was more than he deserved.

All coaches need to right supporting cast of people behind the scenes in order to make a great football program, and other only thing missing from OSU is the right head coach. All the rest of it is there for the next guy inline, an they are not dumb enough to hire a coach-in-waiting or a coordinator to fill that job.

Remember, OSU was playing their 2d and 3d string at QB. This is the lesson FSU can't grasp. There is a huge difference between their star starter and their backups...

Sure it's just weird to me to want all your teams opponents to be bad. Easier to just become an OSU fan or something if you want to beat up on your conference opponents that barely belong in FBS. Usually ends up with you getting smacked around by ooc teams that actually play competitive games regularly though.

The way FSU’s luck has been (exception being Travis), it might happen.

It's the SEC. Never will all of our opponents be bad. I find it weird that folks will come on here and rah-rah for Mizzou, Ole Miss, and Georgia. Forget that noise. And no, it's not "easier to become and OSU fan," at least for me. Have the Gators ever been "smacked around" by an ooc team because our schedule was light? We've certainly been smacked around by teams like WA, MI, ND, Neb, Miami, OK, Or St and on and on. None of those were because of a weak conference.

The SEC is not just a state of mind.
Just ask Ohio State, Penn State and Florida State.

There's a reason why OSU is 2-13 against sec opponents post season. I'd rather not be that myself, so I do actively want opponents to be good. When I played sports as a younger man I wanted my opponents to be good too. Beating up on a bunch of scrubs by 30 can be fun but loses it's luster after a few times and doesn't really help you get better.

Sure, because the SEC tends to be good. I'm not arguing against that; I'm simply saying that I'd be happy if the SEC were less good. And I'm sure as $hit not gonna root for any of those flea-ridden teams. But you go right ahead. Yay!

He joined black eye tech in 2017 as co-Offensive Coordinator/Quarter Back minder. He was made acting head coach in 2018 when Meyer was placed on administrative leave for one of his alleged ethical lapses. He was elevated to head coach in 2029 after Meyer was retired.

Every time I see him, I cannot stop thinking he escaped from a B level cowboy movie where he played the villain.

    From his Wikipedia entry:

    - - - - - - -
On January 3, 2017, Day was hired to replace co-offensive coordinator Tim Beck of the Ohio State Buckeyes. After being linked to the Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator position in January 2018, Day was promoted to offensive coordinator and primary play caller at Ohio State.

    2018 season

On August 1, 2018, Day was named acting head coach at Ohio State when head coach Urban Meyer was placed on administrative leave when news came to light of Meyer's knowledge of events surrounding then-fired Zach Smith's domestic violence accusations made by Smith's estranged wife. Day won all three games during Meyer's absence. On December 4, 2018, Ohio State announced that Meyer would retire as head coach after the 2019 Rose Bowl and be replaced by Day on a full-time basis.

    2019 season

In 2019, Day's first season as a full-time head coach, he led the Buckeyes to a perfect 12-0 regular season record, the Buckeyes' first undefeated regular season since 2013. Despite being predicted to finish second in the Big Ten East Division according to the 2019 Cleveland.com preseason poll, the Buckeyes clinched the division following their November 23 victory over Penn State, and secured a spot in the Big Ten Championship which they would go on to win beat Wisconsin 34-21. The Buckeyes were named the number two seed in the College Football Playoff and lost to the Clemson Tigers in the Fiesta Bowl. On December 3, 2019, Coach Day was named the Dave McClain Coach of the Year by the media.
