Wherever he ends up, may he earn a degree and work for a living like the rest of us.

With our luck, he’s sure to end up on a team that’s on our schedule next year.

Star is a really difficult position to play in our D. A solid veteran will be missed and for me this is the biggest loss thus far.

man had been around since 2019. And him being the best in a bad secondary shows how much we’ve fallen. I’m not saying he was bad, he was solid, but he had a ceiling that he reached.

If it’s not for money, one has to assume it’s like the corporate world, with people leaving because of bad management/leadership.

I personally think it’s a coaching personality issue, but that is just a guess.

Dang. Losing quality starters a year early to draft is one thing. But losing them to the portal, esp at our weakest position groups (OL, secondary, DL)...sucks.

That's 5 starters to the portal, none of which i can imagine the staff wanted to lose. What the hell is going on? Very suspicious for a culture problem, which honestly shocks me. I understand losing sucks, but by all accounts we have a great team culture and player experience. That alone should keep players that we want in the program.

Maybe...but hard to believe the coaching staff wanted him gone.

And if they didn't want him (or Princely or ETN or Maz or McClellan) to leave, then that is extra bothersome. If we can't keep our own, that have been Gators and poured into by this army, how the heck are we gonna convince elite talent to come?

Is that 5 starters to the portal so far for us? Seems like a VERY high number, esp for a talent depleted program. How many starters have our rivals lost? 1-2, on average?

It is getting harder and harder to see how next year's team will be more talented than this year's. Losing 5 upper classmen starters to transfer is a big ask to replace with upgrades in the portal.

Time to go all in for portal talent. Spend the damn money, or CBN is going to be saving it for the next coach.

5 starters on a 5 win team. I’m not concerned. Time for new guys to step up.
