Exactly. Who do you think was behind Mertz's transformation. O'Hara has been working behind the scenes.

Is Andy Reid available? I'm willing to accept Kyle Shanahan or Nick Sirianni but only at a discounted price.

If I'm Napier I fire off a tweet that Mullen was offered the QB coach job, but he hadn't heard back yet.

Perhaps the trauma of this disastrous season is causing me to forget important things, but was QB play one of the things that held us down against powerhouses like Kentucky and Arkansas? My tortured mind suggests that it had much more to with a defense that couldn’t hit its plate with a fork.

O'Hara is fine as an analyst. If the rumors are true about Willy Korn (or someone else) coming in to be OC, I'm sure he will be working closely with the QBs. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being "Co-OC" and QB coach.

Depending on the price, maybe we get one of them for OC...

The new OC will work with him after he gets here (or after they both get here).

The defense is the weak spot so far.

The expectation is that we will get an OC (probably already known) who will work with the QB to improve QB play and awareness and to free Billy up to do other things.

WE have hired some new people on defense.

Time and new signees are the biggest factor to an improved team.

There is little doubt that Lagway is our future at QB.

Our biggest other factors are maturity and playing time. That is probably the two biggest factors in improvement with what we have onboard at present.

So, more players, better coaching and more playing time IMHO.

What about special teams? The strength and conditioning coach is going to be reassigned somewhere. Well, what's the elephant in the conference room? Why not make him special teams coach? Does someone need to remind Napier that we don't have one?

You have limits on how many on the field coaches that a team can have.

Someone is probably going to have to sit in the press box as it is.

Billy has to make the choices for who can be on the field and who must be in the press box.

Some rearranging probably has to be made anyway.

It is maddening that all the coaches cannot be on the sideline but it was probably designed to prevent chaos.

I think that Billy might be able to handle that but it is always a difficult choice for who gets to be on the sideline and assignments like special teams.

Would you settle for two offensive line coaches?
