When one is looking up from the bottom of a hole, all one sees is ass. A true change of perspective takes work.
I am a constant glass-half empty guy. But only for a brief time. I make sure I fill it up to the brim with my anesthetic of choice. Really no different than my gas tank. When you are in for a wild ride, why take the chance of running on empty?

I don't think its rainbow farting, but it lacks perspective. Basically our Roster is improved talent-wise over 2021, 2022, and 2023 but the talent is very young. Mullen relied heavily on the Portal, so a lot of the big gets were more mature and weren't around for that long. The class of 2023 will hopefully begin to show up on the field in 2024 (Wilson already has). Unless we suddenly strike much needed gold in the portal, it will have to for the Gators to have a chance at a winning season in 2024.
Running a forum can wear on you. Letting people vent a little and keeping balance is important. But threads with train wreck and so forth in the title or body should be deleted.
I think you know what it would be like to lose to a UM team on Florida Field that was a bigger shizzshow than we were Napier and Cristobal were hired. It would be a nuclear meltdown of epic proportions that would set the most awful tone for the rest of the season and create a hole that will be next to impossible to dig out of. If a coaching staff ever had a MUST win in a season where they had yet to play a single game, this would be it.
Nobody posts on a message board where its required to sit around the campfire singing kumbaya in unison. I'm all for sending the obvious trolls packing, but there is nothing wrong with a spirited discussion and nothing wrong with disagreeing with other posters.
Many teams have lost the first and won the rest. The goal is playoffs. But we do need to prepare like it's our only game and crush them from the minute they get of the bus until they wake up in a Shands hospital bed.
I have a better idea...we could turn the board over to Mrs. Napier to moderate. That way we could get rid of all the deplorables on the board.
Sure, but we won't be doing either of those things in 2024. This I can get on board with. I just hope Napier doesn't just think UM is just another random OOC game and realizes they are one of our most hated rivals.
I agree completely. This is a board for open discussion and nobody expects everyone to agree. But some on here consistently post nothing but sarcasm and personal attacks on our coaches. They need to be shitcanned.
I don't see a lot of personal attacks....maybe they get deleted too quickly. I don't think the negative nellies are any more annoying than the sunshine pumpers.....should they all be shitcanned too? If so, its going to get really quiet around here.
Are there really amy sunshine pumpers here? I see posters called sushine pumpers by power whiners and a lot of unhappy people venting their miserableness on the board. But, who's actually pumping shunshine?
I just want to get the 5 best on the field at positions they can help. I know Leonard is a backup center.
Keep telling yourself that despite the fact the OP, along with several others in the know, points out it does impact recruits decision. If even one recruit changes his mind and goes somewhere else because of it, then it is a problem.
