while there are plenty of well-meaning and conscientious people. There’s also no shortage of those for whom “activism” is quite lucrative.
On both sides of the aisle.

Pervert huh? I guess I really hit a nerve with you libs today.

You’re just mad because I identified you as the pathetic guy in the corner of the strip club wondering why the girls won’t pay attention to you once you’re out of money.

I went to strip club once when I was 18, never went back. All I saw were old fat bald men giving girls $20 to pretend to like them for a few minutes, it really wasn't for me, since I never went long without a real-life girlfriend and have been married for 23 years now to a great woman. Also, I don't think any stripper has ever paid attention to a man who was out of money, that's not how their industry works. But if you do have to pay women for attention, and still not get laid, then I wouldn't go around calling other people "incels".

I could be wrong, but in my mind I specifically recall Hannity and others spending a lot of time on the initial story involving Cliven Bundy (in a sympathetic light). This WP opinion piece suggests that Hannity changed his tune when the sons took over the Federal building.

In any event, I am pretty sure these events were pretty widely covered on both sides.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/blog...nnity-disses-actions-of-bundy-sons-in-oregon/

Fox News host Sean Hannity has apparently learned a lesson: Be careful about cozying up with the Bundys.

In spring 2014, Hannity embraced the cause of Cliven Bundy, the Nevada rancher who engaged in a high-profile fight with the feds over the grazing of his cattle on public lands. His insistence on allowing the cattle to roam lands under the jurisdiction of the Bureau of Land Management wins him many (armed) supporters who vow to fight any attempts by authorities to round them up. Throughout a weeks-long controversy, Hannity showers Bundy with positive media coverage — until Bundy is busted by the New York Times saying rabidly racist things. Hannity backs off and moves on.

Moments ago, on his radio show, Hannity ripped into the armed activists led by Cliven Bundy’s sons, Ammon Bundy and Ryan Bundy, in taking over a federal building at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Oregon. “I’m having a hard time understanding why Cliven Bundy’s son is out in Oregon,” said Hannity today on the radio.

The purpose of the occupation is to protest federal management of public lands — an echo of the Nevada clash in 2014. The Bundys have initiated the takeover following a protest against the treatment of Oregon ranchers Dwight and Steven Hammond, who were convicted of arson in 2012. Back in 2001, they’d set a fire that veered into 140 acres of public land. Though they have already spent time in prison for their offenses, they were ordered by a judge to return to confinement after concluding that their sentences had been insufficient. They were scheduled to turn themselves in this afternoon.

A far lefty calling righties ignorant is ironic.

The inability to see the idiocy in the extremes on your side is ironic.

Either fringe side calling out the other, reeks of irony.

Ignorant means "lacking knowledge and awareness" ... a bunch right wing posters admitted to having no knowledge and awareness of the Bundy Family or their Militia taking over a Federal Wildlife Refuge building ... therefore, no irony there, they are admittedly the definition of ignorant on this topic.

You think I'm a far lefty? That's pretty ignorant of you. I'm not fringe. And MAGA isn't a fringe either.

And righties believe, en masse, that the 2020 election was stolen, despite all the factual evidence that it wasn't. If that's not ignorant, I don't know what is.

I think the Bundys are whacko. I think the unabomber was nuts too. I don’t blame the right for the Bundys and I don’t think the left should be blamed for the unabomber.

The attempted false equivalency and reflexive resort to both sidesism is just disguised denial

No it isn't. I call out both sides quite openly and quite often.

The poster I addressed does not.

I also never say "lefties tend to be....(anything)"

Also clearly limited my comment to the fringes, did i not?

What exactly am I denying in that case?

    It's really this simple.

The left should not be blamed for a congressional softball gamel shooting
Peaceful pro lifers shouldn't be blamed for some bombing years ago
Peaceful BLM protesters shouldn't be blamed for looting.

    The list is endless actually.
