Then you could just say he recruited them but either way, he brought them.

Don’t disagree that he’s credited with them coming to Florida but I would not say they were portal gets. Mertz and Ricky are more what I think of for true portal grabs.

Big 10 Sack Leader with 10. Played high school in Texas. Let’s hope it’s Florida and not AM. 50 tackles with 15 Tackles for loss. The sacks alone may this guy a major player. 28 hurries and 10 sacks in 11 games.

Purdue DE/OLB Nic Scourton expected to enter transfer portal: Sources

But is he as good as Malcolm Alcorn-Crowder?

How I rank the edge guys in portal that I know of:

    1. Nic Scourton- in 50 tackles, coming from the Big Ten any day of the week.

2A. Cashius Howell- BG 9.5 sacks
2B. Caiden Wouillard- Miami 9.5. Bigger than Howe.

It was a joke. Remember when you were all up in arms because there was a tweet about a community college kid who wasn't visiting since we didn't have a DL coach yet? That kid was Malcolm Alcorn-Crowder, and you claimed we were missing out on an impact addition. If Napier had been more "urgent" like you wished, we likely would have ended up with a worse DL coach and offered a MUCH worse player instead of waiting it out for the quality options out there now. I'm glad you didn't get your way.

Scourton and Howell are the guys to go after. I like our odds to land Howell, and I've seen him play a few times (I watch a lot of MACtion throughout the week). He definitely stood out, in a good way.

I agree with you on the kid from Bowling Green, but disagree on the defensive line coach. I like our new coach and think he will do really well, but there are bigger names out there or there were bigger names out there. Doesn’t mean I’m not all in on him just means I have a different opinion than you and I can still be a major gator fan.

As far as the urgency goes, I’ve been saying those things for over two years. We wouldn’t be in the situation We are in now if we were a little more urgent in a few areas the last few years.

One other thing sometimes that I think gets forgotten, we have some great young edge players that could account for some major sack numbers the next couple years when you talk about Collins and Searcy.

They had him listed as a CB coming out of high school, in the same class as Keelie Ringo and Eli Ricks. We had the #8 CB Jahari Rogers and the #12 CB Ethan Pouncy.

Recruiting services can be wrong and then they can be really wrong.

Over 100 edge snaps as a safety is a really aggressive defense, but even then, that's impressive regardless of your level.

Yeah that's a strange one, I'd be curious to see what WKU was doing on D that created this.

Can that be done two transfers in two years?

doesn’t make sense that he would do this.

Harris starting in his spot or D. George. Glad we have depth.
