I'll send you some. You don't think Wilson and Johnson can be top 5.
Can you name 4 better QBs in SEC than Mertz. We can get 7 wins should of had 7 this year.
Yes I do bleed orange and blue and always think they have a chance.

Oh, there's plenty wrong with me; Just ask my wife. Back to your point:

One could easily make the same argument for retaining Hocke. As a matter of fact, that's exactly what I'd be saying in Hocke's defense if 1) I hadn't read a article claiming an unnamed NFL scout(s) said that O'Cyrus Torrence slid in the draft because "he had one of the worst bodies they'd seen in years", and 2) Dez Watson after 2 years.

But, your point remains valid: was it the S&C coach the problem? Or the position coach? Or, is it on the guy responsible for gameday/onfield decisions?

As you said, he's a f'n strength coach; your implication being it's very possible the lack of results were a function of things other than what Hocke was (or wasn't) doing. If that's what you're saying: I agree.

I just see this hire as rearranging the deck chairs. Therefore, I'll be (pleasantly) surprised if this new guy makes one damn bit of positive difference.

Fitzgerald also has a background at coaching TE and special teams. Is a 3rd OL coach on his way?

The lack of physical improvement was one mark against Hocke, but, for me, a telling thing is that when Hocke was initially named fans from previous stops were like you can have him. With Fitzgerald, rival fans are like you are getting a good one. It's not some end all be all measurement but I for one love the hire and am looking forward to great things.

I'm sure that an SOS endorsement carried a lot of weight in CBN's decision. Fitzgerald is a professional.
Kudo's to CBN for putting the welfare of the team ahead of his allegiances to his buddy's. (Something Mullen could never do)

Too early to tell for sure on that as Toney moved into a fine position in the NFL, and all the others are still at UF. CBN didn't have a connection with Raymond or Spencer or the former receiver coach. You are right on about his willingness to hold accountable for performance and move on. We will see with the OL coaches' contracts expiring whether he makes a move there or if he feels the recruiting has picked up and the conditions (injuries and lack of depth) were beyond their control.

I keep saying that Napier's willingness to adapt will be what makes or breaks his time at UF.

I understand his reasoning for wanting to bring his ULL staff with him which was to establish what he wanted his culture to be. They were already familiar with how he wanted a program to be run.

Many people have made the jump to higher levels and done fine, many don't.

His willingness to make changes has been encouraging so far. When you look at it, there's only been one full (non-transition) year where he was able to evaluate staff performances and has shown a willingness to make a change.

Time will tell if we've upgraded with these changes. Fingers crossed and I'll be rooting for their success.

I'd like to be a fly on the wall for the 1st meeting. When is the 1st workout? Does he bring in his own assistants?
Can he make.a real difference and put us over the top? Will he help develop accountability and leadership? Will we win on the lines and in the 4th quarter?

2017 video below while he was at Houston. Saw another clip about UT having to fight off Bama trying to hire him away right before he left for the Giants.
