I don't believe that... There is good psychology behind artificially pumping up these NIL numbers... and the winners are the lawyers... err... agents and the players.
That may be true at face value, but Purdy definitely has multi millions in NIL himself. Plus no doubt performance incentives.
Purdy was Mr Irrelevant. His first contract was not that if a first round draft choice. His next one will be that of the highest paid QBs in the league. 49ers have a cap friendly QB so now is the time for them to win Super Bowls. Once QBs start earning $30 plus million per year, much harder to put a quality team around them. Brady took a huge discount on contract when with Pats to win Super Bowls. He made so much in endorsements he did not need. Most QBs won’t do that to win.
Sidenote: Brock Purdy’s little brother leaving Nebraska as the Huskers have signed two Elite 11 quarterbacks.
If he did this NIL is way out of control …. This was not the intention…. Those who cheated in the past are way ahead of some of us…. Ncaa spent yrs and yrs trying to level the playing field for all colleges and in 2 yrs completely blew that out of the water … amazing how the crazy ncaa is …..
Why is a random Facebook post being talked about on here? There is literally no way to verify this. The post could’ve said 5 mil and nobody would know. Don’t believe it for a second
I read a quote from Arch himself last year that said he was not taking any NIL money until he was a starter at Texas. I thought that was honorable. Who knows if he is still living by that mantra.
Manning making insane money as the 3rd string QB in major college football and the starting QB for the 49's in the NFL making squat? Man, it ain't Purdy, but it IS apparently real.
