Agree 100%. They don’t have the resources we do and they also don’t have the fertile recruiting grounds like we do. I actually really like our signing class even though it was the biggest fault I need a history from 3 to 16 or 5 to 16, but only signing six kids from the state of Florida is concerning

Kirby hates us like spurrier hated them. Spurrier is what we did to them and Kirby will never forget it. Napier needs to understand this and starting doing everything he can to hinder them. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if they bought ETN just so we couldn’t have him.

also, daily reminder that Benedict Trevor is a traitor and should never be spoken of as a gator again.

Oh he’s gonna feature him. Hoping our guys really take it to heart and bring everything they’ve got. If Jaydon Hill is back I’d almost have him or Shemar spy him. I’m passing downs. If he is in, I would bring everything I had right at him because we know he’s not going to block that well

Probably the size of alumni base. My guess anyway.

Merry Christmas!!! Post below contains positives and critiques.

    Thanks brother!!
if I remember correctly and we look back. I think I was the first person to report that Joey Slackman and Crenshaw Dickson committed. Heck, I probably had five or six positive comments in both of those and doesn’t that show my positivity and excitement as being the one to break the news on gator country? Or at least being one of the first to report reported. You are right people miss those things.

I realize that even if someone knows their stuff, people will still disagree with them. I feel like I do post plenty of positive comments, but I am also very open and honest and I’ll always wear orange blue glasses but be objective too. Can be a Gator and still critique and question.

In this post alone, I’ll have at least two or three positive comments but sometimes people won’t read through entire post to see that they just think oh so and so is negative when they’re really just being objective, and many times positive comments are actually missed. Two things can be true at the same time in that I could be critical or critiquing, and also post a positive.

Here is my example… I really like our recruiting class. I think Billy and the coaches did a great job, getting some quality talent and for the people that say we should have signed more I disagree in that it will leave possible impact portal spots open, which could allow us to win an extra game or two next year. In the same sentence, taking a critiquing perspective, I would say we have to start getting more kids from Florida as we only got six in this class.

I have talked to many long time posters on this board that I have a great deal of respect for in private chats. I think it’s easier to go with the crowd and not really read deep into comments. There are several here That said right from the start, we were concerned with mindset/mentality in that you can build a program, but should never have that mindset/mentality that it’s OK with losses the first year as that, then starts to permeate the culture.

Some of us said that we could win the first year if we hit the portal hard. That was Not very popular, but it proved to be true. As now we are in situation in which we have to hit the portal hard to try to get to seven or eight wins this year.

I don’t agree with our transfer ranking in the 30s right now as I think the guys we have picked up are better than that especially slackman and Crenshaw. Also like Dike a lot too. Coaches have done a solid job on portal this year. First 4 pickups will all have impact with all 4 possibly starting or playing significant snaps.

Can’t wait for Miami game!! One at a time!!

    Merry Christmas!!!

    My mindset:
    #BeatMiami!!!!!!

You must have missed when I first reported the Slackman news? Was that not positive? Thread is 4 pages long or Crenshaw Dickson story that I 1st reported. Maybe go through both of those threads and see my 10 to 15 ( counted 14) positive comments total in just those 2 threads. Below are examples.

    1. From when I first reported the Slackman news:

    This is a big one!!!
    Great job by staff.

    2. 20 minutes later-when I said…..
Man o man, what a day. I flat out gotta give it to staff- great job. This kid will hopefully be very similar to Fiske!!!

    3. or that same day when I broke the Crenshaw Dixon story/1st reported it: and said,

    This is a big one!!!
    Great job by staff.

BREAKING: The #Gators have landed a commitment from San Diego StateOL

    Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson.

Huge addition at a position of need.

Not enough to show you are a positive poster. Need some additional orange and blue homerism. Lol

I have disagreed with most of your takes, usually those about Mullen. I personally think we went way too light in the portal year one despite pulling in major contributors like torrence, Pearsall and Johnson. The defense was untouched year one and we picked up mostly non contributors in year two. I agree the idea should always be win now. I think even with our lineup deficiencies we Still should have won several games if the coaching were better, particularly Utah this year, Arkansas, Kentucky both years, fsu both years and Missouri this year. I think florida is at a disadvantage administratively and with boosters so talent will be good not great and coaching has to fill the void. To this point it hasn't.

Basically the only thing I really disagree with you is on Mullen.

I think the major disadvantage currently is alumni bases. Our NIL is inadequate compared to other top program donors and NIL. Really need to fire the fans and get a new alumni base that is less passive. Need more successful alumni billionaire boosters. Fans really need to step up, attend more games and contribute more to NIL.

What it comes down to is we are not going to pay stupid money for someone who is overvalued. And it’s not going to change. I know everyone gets fired up about every other 5 star guy, from 2 recruiting cycles ago, jumping in the portal and looking for Lagway level kind of money …but it’s not going to happen. It’s just reality.

Yeah, you and I agree with more than we disagree with. He drove me crazy, Mullen, that is, but I felt like he was scapegoat way too much especially after the first year. I’ve met Billy up close in person a couple of times, and he is flat out an excellent guy. Type of guy you want to root for all day long take care and have a merry Christmas and happy new year.

Yeah, 100% agree especially if that person you’re talking about is a running back because I think our running back room is in great shape. I’m here in Carroll might not be healthy yet and I still think our running back room is in great shape. if he is ready to go, the running back room is as good as it has been for several years as the two freshman will open eyes, and I would never sleep on Webb. Love the kid, as he is straight downhill,
