Florida hires Gerald Chatman as DL coach

I like Chatman, there's also new smoke about a possible OC hire announced Tuesday, but we'll see. I can dig the hire if it holds.

 

I like the chatman hire - young guy...can relate to kids and technician coach...

 

If I really thought it would help us win more games, I would drive over to his house at dark thirty every morning, pound on his door until he woke and answered it and tell him to please not forget to shave today.

You've probably seen some of the brushfires I've been warming my hands on. Looks promising. Dude started following like half of our team. Looks just like when Harris was on board but hadn't been reported yet. And fwiw there was also talk of our UAA plane in Vegas all day yesterday, which is where Marion coaches, but maybe they just stopped by for the roulette tables lol

 

The system has been emitting a lot of smoke. Mostly black so far.

long time Gator booster Hal Lewis replied to a Marion tweet with a gator emoji then deleted it. Former Gator player Steven Harris tagged both lagway and Brennan Marion in a tweet i believe yesterday too, along with a huge portion of all our players all of a sudden following him, it's at least something to monitor considering most people on this side didn't even have a clue who this guy was 72 hours ago, and now are following. Somethings there, let's keep fingers crossed.

 

I meant half our team started following him. Makes me wonder why all of a sudden our players are interested in him and how his name even came about to them

I do want to mention that many people jumped on the Ed O smoke because of all his Twitter follows and followers as well. And that same gator booster also posted “no smoke” when asked about BM. So I’m not getting excited just yet.

Man, wouldn't that be sweet, getting an OC? Then Napier could focus on everything else. Napier can do his life changing, nice-guy turn them boys into accountable men developmental stuff, and then all the coaches can scream really loudly in the kids faces. Nice balance.

Note: Please hire a UF math major with no real football experience to manage the clock. A nerd with a stopwatch. That's all I want. Except for maybe this chair...

What is very clear that Napier knows he needs help,(finally) he's potentially staring at the chopping block and has 'heard the noise' in the system. So far it appears he's adjusting. Lord willing, we'll see some immediate results. Even the best talent needs to be coached up.

I get the impression that our players find out about these things about the same time everyone else does, which I've always found to be weird. I think they are left reading the tea leaves, like everyone else.

I don't blame you, I'm cautiously optimistic. But one difference that I see between this and Ed O rumor is on TOS the insiders are not shooting this one down like they kept trying to do about Ed O and Willy Korn chatter. This one they are actually kind of letting it go along with so far. But like you said not gonna get overly excited.. yet. Just thought I would share what I've seen with you guys.
