What line?%! We're going to draw this one and only line in all of college football because we're too proud to be good? Georgia and Alabama aren't going to be turning down players that enter the portal and then claim it was a mistake and come back (has already happened). Just saying, this is one line not worth drawing and instead handling on an individual case basis when (not if) it happens in every big program with the current rules. Additionally, Etienne never trashed talked our program or stopped playing during the season. He fought for us. There is no secret Johnson and him have talked about sharing snaps and supporting each other, but both probably wish they were a feature back at any given time. If one of the two was going to potentially transfer, it makes sense it would be Etienne of the two, but most programs he is going to share snaps and if that becomes the realization after investigating the possibilities, we should welcome him staying and doubling down on his support of the program. In fact, it would be a PR win, but let's not get our hopes up either. He is very likely to transfer.
Let’s take a wait and see approach before drawing the line in the sand. Is Montrell returning? The answer to that question could be the deciding factor.
I wish BN would swing for the fences with the portal...get a couple of alpha WRs that will help take the lid off of the D...
He needs to learn to block no matter where he goes. That and his “attitude” are the biggest issues at the next level.
The line has always been whether or not the dude is good at football. Did the line get drawn when Percy punched Billy G? Did the line get drawn when he didn’t practice all week? No.
This would be welcomed. It also should be a sobering moment for everyone. 2 of our best 22 either had an inflated opinion of their market value or current rosters wouldn’t make them show piece acquisitions at potential landing spots
