Look. My post was very simple. There was no link, I googled and this is what I saw. Could easily be a hit job, so I asked for a supporting link and said I was open to information - the OP typed a bunch so I assumed there was one. Maybe you are up on Chicago politics or maybe you didnt like her looks, I dont know how you concluded much about the story.

A thread currently up to three pages regarding the corrupt mayor of a town with a population of approximately 21,000. While conceding that she is incredibly sleazy, should be removed from office and possibly prosecuted considering the size of the town is the story even remotely newsworthy?

 

Who makes the decision on what is news worthy? When a one off redneck does something racists and it gets posted here are you there to claim it unnewsworthy ? Is it only state level officials that are news worthy? Federal level. Or is it only news worthy when it is the other team being criminal?

There is little doubt Fox News outlets capitalize on it due to its racial and partisan optics. Nonetheless due to the brazenness it is newsworthy and more mainstream sources don’t want to touch because of its negative racial optics.
