I hate to think it, but I wonder if Billy's fingerprints are the ones we see on the Defense as the year progressed. We saw lots of very aggressive play against our first few opponents and even though we lost to Utah (due to poor offensive line and coaching errors), the D looked pretty good. Then suddenly we showed up against a KY team that everyone knew was going to try to establish the run in a passive D and got routed. Its odd to the nth degree. Go back and listen to BN's opening presser. He said we would line up on D in the Nickel and Dime the majority of the time. I'm just not convinced that AA had full rein to do what he wanted to do on D this year even before the injury bug hit.
