I don't care if Pullin starts or not but I want him in at the end of close games. He plays with a lot of poise.
I also, kind of like Anthony Davis and Joel Embiid, and those guys can barely run up the court. Shimmy is a large man with a solid skill set. I don’t know what physical condition he will be in when he returns, but if he is in playing game physical condition, I think he could be a big contributor.
Yeah man. If Shimmy is any of those guys he damn well better be hitting the court as soon as possible! I like Shimmy and hope he's a solid contributor here, but those are some crazy comparisons, my man. What if he doesn't bring half-court dominance the way those guys do? Cause otherwise, he could end up being more of a defensive liability than any of our other front court players, may not shoot any better than a couple of them, and may be an anchor to what CTG is trying to do. I get your point: you don't have to be quick to be a solid big man, and I agree with that point. But if you're not quick, you gotta be really skilled. Here's to hoping that's Shimmy!!
You got my point that big men can be slow as shit and still be NBA All-Stars. I don’t know how shimmy will do. But, he is really big and wide, and might be able to hold his own in the low post on defense when bigs on other teams try to back him down. I also expect him to be the best shooting big man on the team, and, perhaps, the third, best outside shooter on the team behind Clayton and Richard. I could be completely wrong, considering the little I have seen of shimmy, but I, absolutely, am not writing him off.
Yeah - I'm far from writing him off, too! I'm just not convinced we'll see much from him this year unless he comes in raining 3s. If he does, I'm here for it.

Totally legal play. One disadvantage is that EVERYONE is deep in their own backcourt. Only works as a surprise.
My observations of Shimmy last season were that when he got on the floor through most of the season, he wasn't close to ready for high-major basketball. But when he came in after CC went down, he had improved a lot. I anticipate he'll be even better now if he can shake the rust off and get the conditioning in. But it'll still be hard to find him minutes with the other bigs all playing so well.
Same thing with Glover and many, many other players who get or got sporadic playing time. It’s tough to play well when you get a few minutes here or there. I’ve been there.
Always will be some who get sporadic playing time everyone can't get 15 min or so. Shimmy won't outshoot Haugh or Handolton, if so we he has to play
Start Pullin. Give him the chance to be undisputed Commander in Chief. Richard Clayton Samuel Handlogten Kugel on the bench until he takes better care of the ball. Condon and Haugh a lot. Aberdeen 5-10 min every game. We might need 55 minute games. lol

Aberdeen just isn't consistent enough yet and we have a crowded backcourt. A game like tonight might be good for him if we can take care of business early and get him some meaningful minutes. Much easier to get in a groove with more minutes, maybe the light will come on Re stretching the floor, it's interesting that Handlogten is 4 for 4 - shooting 100% on 3 and Haugh is 3rd in % at 38.5% (5 of 13). Of course the sample size is quite small, but perhaps giving them each a couple looks each a game is not a bad idea.
Aberdeen needs to play a bit every game with the stated goal that with steady improvement he will have a chance to lead next year. He's shown the skill, does he have the head and heart?
