I heard Farrell on Chris Childers' show yesterday saying that Napier blew it with so many the last minute flips and that given how tough our schedule is and how bad the recruiting went down the stretch, there is no way he is still the florida coach after next year.

 

Why the hell do does anyone still talk about Mullen. He’s gone, and has his cushy job at ESPN where he can pontificate and opine all he wants. Personally whenever his face comes on the screen I can’t change the channel fast enough. He drove our program into the ground with his “I’ll recruit when it’s recruiting season” approach. Good offensive game planner? Sure, but little else.

 

I actually heard that idiot criticizing a coach this year for not using a player who was not ready to play as a decoy.

I would have loved if someone on the show asked him why didn’t he do that with Pitts against LSU?

Shane said on his show now recruiting is 99% money bag. He said dj loves Napier but he also got a bigger bag than from any other places.

It looks like game day coaching becomes more important.

I am not convinced that is the case. If it’s only about money Texas and a&m should have the 1 and 2 classes.

For our case though it might be the case that Mullen would get similar players as Napier and Mullen is a better game day coach.

 

Let’s see… 2023 can’t afford the buyout for the S&C coach but you think in 2024 they will buyout the head coach and staff?

I know I was tired of Mullen. And of course the chief knock against him was recruiting.

But has Billy actually out-recruited Mullen ?

As memory serves, Billy’s classes have ranked #18, #13 and #16 since he’s been here.

 

May be headed that way, but offers don’t hand out themselves. Further, there’s still scouting to be done for guys that aren’t no-brainer 5 stars and such. Dan ain’t got no time for that.

 

I agree with Shane. A&M might still be smarting from the $8 Zillion payout to Fisher they are having to make. They might be hesitant to get back into the pay anything for a player game so soon after they were burned by the class Jimbo bought/recruited 2 years ago.

 

Quality troll job there. Maybe my new career goal should be to get fired by the UAA.
