For the people in the back, news was leaked before anything could be done. Sounds like Napier was caught off guard just as anyone else since the day prior, Bateman was tweeting how he couldn’t wait to get to work with the Gator recruits.

I read it differently. I read it as a Gator legend and very classy individual that is very upset with our coaching staff for not communicating with his son. He’s saying staff ( HBC) didn’t communicate with his son, who has never wavered and had been one of our best recruiters.

Responsibility of HBC once he knows this is happening to pretty quickly contact the guys he (Bateman) recruitec, especially those that he was going to coach directly.

Bad look for our team no matter what. Loyal Gator family speaking out says alot. Read all the quotes. There’s a lot to think about.

 

100% agree. The day after signing day and your position coach leaves… That’s kind of a big deal.

Do you know any behind the scenes discussions? Aren't we only hearing 1 side? I respect Ernest, however, a better way would have been to perhaps handle it privately instead of posting stuff on social media

We don't know if Napier found out the same time everyone else did..thru social media....maybe he did not get a chance to communicate the information to the Grahams cause Ernest had already rushed in a posted that on X..before Napier could call him
In other past interviews, Ernest talked how great everything was, the communication, etc...

 

You are assigning “staff to HBC” because you want it to be, not because EG did.

Furthermore you have no idea how the sequence of events went down. It is entirely possible that since the job offer happened this morning that the story was leaked before Bateman even informed Napier he was leaving. We ALL know how reporters love to sit on a story once somebody knows.
