Some notes: Matharu is filthy I'm enjoying watching Reynolds grow, that one move of hers...excellent Bertie is finding some other roles The defense looked super, super connected Michigan in Q4 just stopped trying to get offensive rebounds, threw in the towel
Gators win 82-65 Way to go Ladies We had a sweep of men's and women's basketball games from meat chicken
was at the game, got to be in a box with some NC fans. Great thing also got to talk to some of the Ladies after the game. UNC people very impressed by our women, said we are the best team in Charlotte out of the 4 talent wise. Matharu is nasty, just even quicker then usual tonight. But played under control more, was nice to watch. Ms Kyle is just getting better and better, if she comes back next year like it is being said I can see her and baby Oneal as a deadly combo. We were so much faster then they were, funny before the game got to talk to a lot of press people there and they picked UM by 10 to 15 even though they got blew out by Toledo earlier this year. Big win in a national tourney is nice for the program
I know the Reynolds move of which you speak. Early in the 3rd quarter right? Left the Meat Chickens clawing at air.
Has Michigan played a really weak schedule? This seems like a VERY impressive win against a 9-2, P5 program, on a neutral court. Hopefully the girls keep the offense rolling into sec play. I missed the gw game, and just started watching this one. I’m almost to the end of the 1st quarter, but they seem to be playing less hero ball, and moving the ball around much better so far.
Sometimes in basketball you see a game where it seems everything finally came together and the team took a big step forward. It felt like that's what was happening tonight. You could say that the Gators just had a hot-shooting night, and we did. But it was hot because we were clicking with passing, ball movement, and attacking the lane.
Thought it was easily one of Kyle's best games I have seen. If we can get that every game the outlook changes a lot for this season.
Indeed, felt like the men's FSU game, when everything worked offensively and defensively. Hard to believe the Marshall game was just a couple of outings ago.
After last night, we are #53 and Michigan drops to #59. In NET rankings, we're #6 SEC team. #7 in RPI. Nice long layoff, 9 days until tuneup vs. Winthrop, then it's South Carolina.
One thing that popped into my head last night: how nice it is to not have the Jordan Merritt saga hanging over us in December.
I never did hear what went down with that whole thing. We made her the centerpiece of the offense and then she up and left.
Lol... please knock on wood. Bannister, Christinaki, Merritt, Briggs... seen too many weird situations over the years.
Dang, Christinaki, years of therapy erased that memory. Loved her play. Should have known...Gators WBB was still under a curse.
Thankfully, our women didn't cause my heart rate to go through the sky limit like our men. This game was never in doubt.
