I have been extremely underwhelmed by LB play so this appears to be addition by subtraction.

    Depends on replacement.

May also strengthen Armstrong's hand. Although I have no info Bateman was a problem.

Are we still looking to add any LBs from the portal or NSD after bringing in two at NSD? Hopefully not since this position-coaching slot is now unsettled.

Our LBs have not been good so I'm not sad about this. That said, some others have said he was not the problem and Elko promoting him would seem to support that claim. Either way I suppose I will now proceed to cry about how we don't have a position coach and omg sooooo slow and how will we ever get a commit...

This might be in the same boat as Raymond and Spencer. I think we are trying to get a unified voice at defense. Let Armstrong interview and be a part of the search.

Recruiting wise he was great. Although he lost two of his LBs. Still very happy with Graham and chiles.

I read that he was our “tackling coordinator”….which appears to be addition by subtraction.

who’s the replacement? Jamar Cheney? Peterson takes over all LBs?

Sadly, I haven’t heard glowing reports of either LB coach. Hopefully we can get some serious coaching upgrades

The concern is how our current signees will handle it. Earnest Graham appears to be livid about “lack of communication” over this. His message is popping up on TOS’s.
I’d post it if I knew how

I love me some Earnest, but Bateman wasn't fired, he was hired away and got a promotion. If Bateman didn't tell his bosses or the recruits about being in consideration for a new job, that's on him, not UF.

Don't like that he felt he needed to take this to Twitter. If there's some misunderstanding it should be able to be handled without taking it public.

Then to go on Twitter to whine about it? It doesn’t help things. Less than 24 hrs after signing day, when there is negativity swirling all over social media, and you just add to it. Disappointing.
