Agree, but TBH it's not due to BN. At least "doomed" in the sense that we won't be winning any significant champs anymore. Which is fine because we've already won more than 90% of schools.

Looks like the ‘ranking’ is more based on only signing 18 players (how does Georgia sign that many?). Am I wrong thinking that this is actually a positive … signing players from the portal who have actual college experience > signing freshmen who are good odds to either not work out or transfer out if they do?

A good question and has to be part of he overall NIL strategy. I'm sure they have a range based on recruit/college player, position, experience, performance, etc. There will be a lot of portal movement as the bowl and playoff games get played, since this portal period doesn't close till early Jan. Then we have the spring portal period to think about as well. There is still a LOT of opportunity to add to this great class.

And although we missed several players that flipped from us that is spots that are open for experience players that can make an impact immediately.

Georgia signed so many because the normal 25 scholarship limit would put them below their max scholarship limit on their roster.

What many don’t realize is that college football is a cutthroat business. Every season players are told that their scholarships will not be renewed and that they should seek another opportunity elsewhere. So when you have kids that transfer out, their former team gets an extra scholarship to use during recruiting.
This is the dirty side of college football where kids will commit to a university but their programs will “decommit” from them.

That’s a lie. All these 15 rankings were before we were credit for our two top ten players who hadn’t officially inked yet. Saw somewhere we are back up to 8 (overall).

Yeah I’m struggling to see how this is terrible. Also don’t we have a legit shot for the safety out of Jacksonville? Could leapfrog us over a couple ahead of us.

I'm not saying it's terrible, just posting the data they have. Hopefully we can kill it in the portal and boost our ranking even higher.

But the depth of what counts is increasing. And that’s actually what’s important. I think the Gators will show remarkable, extraordinary improvement next season. If I’m wrong, I’ll be the first to admit it. I promise. If I’m right, though, I’m trusting you and the countless others who have relentlessly being spewing vitriol will also admit it.
