None of this is surprising. 2 of the worst seasons in Gator football history. A entire team of coaches who need replaced. Poor execution and game plan and BNs saving grace was he is a great recruiter which I will give him he is...pulling in a top 15 class with the awful on field performance of this and last year is amazing. This guy brought in a bunch of coaching duds and changing them out facing next years schedule is just kicking the can down the road. Whatever BN recruits next year will end up flipping elsewhere by mid season when the wheels are coming off. Not sure how long you wait on the process but the process really stinks so far.

Lagway does seem to be the kind of talent and leader that you build a program around. Truly hope it works out for him (and us).

 

I totally agree... Even the Gator Haters of SECRant are saying that Lagway is a program builder.

 

Auburn fans are really happy with Freeze considering no coach at Auburn has had such great classes in quite some time. He's building most likely the #1 offense next season IF he lands a good QB from the portal. He's not wasting any time and it shows in the rankings, they essentially swapped with us. They started out ok but finished hard and fast. Unfortunately, we haven't and Finebaum has said Napier's seat is "getting mighty warm" considering we have the toughest schedule next season where he thinks no one in the country could finish undefeated. Our offensive line actually could be worse next season if that's even possible.

Everyone talks about 5-7 yet it's all about perspective. Imagine starting out 0-5 but finishing 5-2. It's still 5-7 and we still miss the bowl game, but the perception would be far different now. We probably keep our class and add to it.

 

Just step forward off the ledge, you will be happier.

The Process is Processing

 

There is only one cure. Win. There is no way to spin a 7 or less win season even with this schedule. We have historically had the toughest or one of the toughest schedules in the country. I believe at least 2 out of 3 of our NCs were against the #1 SOS at the time. Even if that’s debatable the schedules were in the running. Year 3 is total ownership of the past, the present, and if you have a future. He has to win, the losses can’t be clumsy and pathetic like they have been.

 

How about that win last night over Michigan in double overtime!

 

We got Lagway who is probably the best player in the country at the most important position, so at the end of the day, that’s the most important thing.

The man literally said it's a talent acquisition business when he was hired. Dropping 10 spots in a matter of days after two losing seasons will just about do it, I think.

Sucks, cause I think 7-8 years ago someone like Napier would have been a perfect hire for UF.

 

He is still good for us.

 

Most here with O & B glasses will be reluctant to admit HF will make Auburn relevant and competitive again. We have a tougher schedule next year and odds are we will once again have a losing season. Should that happen that's 4 in a row, how do you even begin to recruit with that. The dilemma is fire BN and UF is out a ton of money and probably lose Lag. Keep BN and the hole gets deeper plus how many fans want to watch a sinking ship? I'm still pissed that Stricklin not only limited his search but then agreed to pay through the nose for a coach that has had success in the sunbelt league. Most fans are truly passionate about Gator football and want better verses settling.
A good coach as in HF is (not maybe, or hope) but is turning that program around and he wasn't even a possible candidate. Stupid is what stupid does. And for those on here that love to throw stones at HF's past faults, I'm so happy you self righteous perfect people who don't believe in second chances will enjoy another frustrating year of Gator football.
