Apparently it's whatever state supreme courts say it means.

No, tell me why I'm wrong in saying that they unilaterally declared him as an insurrectionist and treated him as such.

If you can't do that, we're done here.

I just go back to.. if it is OK that Trump did it... it is OK for Biden to do it. I dont think you realize what a nasty padora's box Trump opened up.

But it's not okay for Trump to do it. He just got barred from the Colorado ballot.

So you don't know the basis of the court's ruling, but despite not understanding it, you find it to be faulty. And to compound the silliness, you apply a ruling you don't understand to hypotheticals where it doesn't apply, and then bemoan the pandora's box that "they" opened up, even though it is only in your mind? We are approaching your girlfriend getting mad at you for something you did in her dreams last night territory.

    I agree, we're done here.

Let me know when you are ready to rejoin reality and we can discuss what the court actually said.

Come on Kamala! Do your duty. Throw out the Texas and Florida votes.

Everything Gore did to contest the 2000 election was done through the court system. An insurrection is an illegal attempt to overthrow a government. If the court rules in your favor, how is that illegal? And how can that be considered an insurrection?

In contrast, what part of Jan 6 occurred in the court system? And how about the fake electors? They have only appeared in court as defendents for their illegal actions in the scheme.

Had Trump kept his challenges just in n the courts, nobody would be accusing him of an insurrection. But that didn't happen. J6 and the fake elector scheme did.

Yes, I do, you're just saying I don't understand it and are refusing to say why.

It almost appears like you're pretending to know what you're talking about because you can't even explain why I'm wrong.

Is engaging in an insurrection to overthrow our democracy a violation of gatorcountry forum rules?

I did the calculus and throwing out Texas and Florida but being banned from the Colorado ballot along with Trump is a net benefit for Biden.

SCOTUS later ruled it unconstitutional. Is unconstitutional illegal? Asking for a friend.

Yes, if there's anything the last 8 years has shown, it's that if Trump just did "X" nobody would be targeting him. Never mind the investigations sparked by faulty Clinton Campaign reports. Never mind the federal indictments hanging over his head. And never mind that the Colorado Supreme Court just ruled to remove him from the Colorado ballot on the grounds of being an insurrectionist despite never being charged with insurrection, convicted of insurrection, or impeached of insurrection.

This frankly is a more effective attempt at a coup than anything Donald Trump actually did in 2020, even assuming that's what he was doing.

If you're going to hide behind snark and sarcasm, I have better things to do. But don't pretend you made a coherent point. You're just doing what I like to call, "pulling a Colbert." You're putting your clown hat on because you're confronted with an ugly truth.

But I'm sure you'll conveniently switch back to "poster to be taken seriously" the second you think you have a point you want to hammer.

So asking the VP to throw out state electors they don't like isn't soliciting an insurrection?

Seems like it is if it was directed by the President. If suggested by the cashier at the downtown Gainesville McDonalds, not so much.

Why is that? Are you saying because it's unlikely to succeed?

This explains your posting history. Remind me to cut the large fries next time I see you. I'm trying to cut a little bit of weight for beach season.

Im no lawyer but you have to have sufficient intent to commit a crime.

Took another whole minute after you posted to come up with that sic burn? Regardless, never order the large fries at McDonalds. That's like 66g total carbs, 24g fat, 7g protein, and a whopping 510 calories.
