I would think we already have a DL coach that hasn't been announced to the public yet, and, that impacted players have already been told (as was the case for Will Harris and the DBs).
Hard to be optimistic with Gator football right now. Not sure we’re competitive any time in the next 5 years. This is just on par with the litany of bad news we’ve had since the South Carolina game.
Hard to be optimistic about our coach going at it in a way different than anyone else. He is insisting on the process and minimal use of the portal saying this is the only way to a sustainable product. Not only that, it's hard to be optimistic about a future that looks bright when the first two years of the process look like the back end of a mule. We are basically hoping our guy has stumbled upon something that no one else is doing, and that it is supposed to look this way for a while before it ever looks better. Not saying it's impossible, but the odds are simply not in our favor.
Gawd dammit. And he is “announcing” in the next couple of days not even signing then. This will drag out until February.
It isn’t that simple. The UAA doesn’t cut the NIL deals. We are all “the boosters”. The collective has to work with what’s available to them. The bigger deals at a lot of schools seem to be getting made by individual power brokers, outside of collectives. That makes cutting deals much more straight forward, because the athlete can negotiate directly with the money.
Why respond to straw man arguments? This is the claim with both him and Fildsame. Neither lost their position coach or primary recruiter. Regardless, he is a big part of this class. I've been hearing that fsu is making a push on their forums.
There's a lot of things to blame Napier for, and he's partially to blame for this ONLY due to our on the field record/incompetence at times, but when it comes to STRICTLY recruiting, he's proven HE can get kids on campus and committed. It's obvious things above his head aren't 100% bought in. Unfortunate
